Shawn swears the picture is not photoshopped. So basically here is grandpa having bigger arms than any runner in the US.

He looks great - can't say the same thing about most runners, lol.
Who doesn't want to be BUFF. Problem is, most runners don't like to workout HARD.
Wow. I'll never stop running, but I definitely added this as a goal to approach.
EPO don't give bizep. 'Roids do. This guy took enough for a lifetime. But he made something out of it, unlike all the other fools at the gym, so good on him.

Typical misinformed LRC garbage.
Arnold lifted big, spent countless hours per day in the weight room.
There is an interview with him where he admits that he took substances to MAINTAIN while being on a cut, but he never took steroids to grow muscle.
All his BUFFNESS comes from the weight room. I know, hard to believe, but true.

Oh, OK. I believe him.

Uh, Arnold took steroids:

Arnold did use steroids. However, when he placed 2nd in the Mr. Olympia in 1969 to a man with less muscle mass he substantially cut back on his steroid use.
The first rule of the gym:
Everyone bigger than you is taking more performance enhancing drugs than you are.
Everyone smaller than you isn't working hard enough.

Yeah because you can tell steroids to stop making you grow.
I know certain steroids are better at enabling you to keep mass and get cut (winstrol), vs others which promote more size.
The common practice at the time was to hot the steroids during your cut so you ldon't lose mass. Anytime a normal person cuts bodyfat to that level he will lose some muscle. Guess what though? Taking steroids to not lose muscle....you will still likely gain muscle due to steroids.
Alan
I remember in the 80s Mr. Schwarzenegger was on the David Letterman late night program and Mr. Letterman asked if he took steroids.
Mr. Schwarzenegger said yes, that everybody took them.
It sounded as if steroids were like vitamins to him.
He doesn't look that great in some other photos

He actually said the exact opposite. That he took them to gain muscle, but would stop a ten weeks out to cut. And he took plenty and starting at a very young age.
I don't think you even do cross-fit - you are a phoney. Or you'd know steroids are for bulk (and cause water retention - ex. dianabol) and that cutting is a totally different cycle of drugs.
He looks disgusting to me.
Anyone who thinks that looks good has very low standards.

Can guys in their 60s look ripped without taking steroids? I went to a gym when I was in Europe and there was a crew of old guys there who were absolutely ripped. Their bodies looked like they belonged to 30 year olds. I just thought, whatever no way they are natural. They weren't even lifting as much as me.

Sure they can although most are on HGH.
He looks bulky and extremely unhealthy to me. The flushed face, dazed stare and cigar smoke do not add allure.

It would be an accomplishment for him if he lived past 80 tbh. A life of roids, tobacco, and high quantities of animal products isn't very conducive to a long and healthy life.
