That someone is Matt Slocum, the man wrongly accused by Bob Nichols, looks like Nichols now owes The Red Cross $10,000. The link shows Matt posted just two hours ago, so he's obviously reading this thread, I wonder if Bob is?
http://www.runnersworld.com/races/race-asks-for-some-prize-money-back-then-changes-its-mindQuestion for Matt, will you be pursuing this?
Seems this Nichols character is not a very nice person despite what he or his partner wrote as 'We're all on here':
"I received a call a few days ago from the RD, Bob Nickles. I've participated over the last couple of years also. Nice guy and unfortunately just screwed up his numbers. I sincerely wish that he's not taking this too hard."
Don't think I'd want him involved with my charity, this sort of thing is why charities get a bad name and donations etc start to drop off.
Threads like this are why I love LetsRun- they restore my faith in humanity

Until you look at his small print which says that he'd put a red cross on a $10 bill.
All up $19,500, nice one Bob.

Sorry not buying the "mistake" claim, previous year's winners said they received the same, even that could have been overlooked but for the frankly appalling behaviour confirmed by Rojo.
Despite the time constraints of his full time CPA position at a major firm and his 60 hours per week at the charity, Bob might be aware by now that he's now been caught. If the Runner's World comments are through Facebook then he might get notifications when others comment. But someone should reach out to him. And Matt should sue him.Top 5 thread material for 2015/2016

could be anyone
http://surfingmadonnarun.org/https://www.facebook.com/TheSurfingMadonna/With the amount of time the RD spent online using his various aliases it's pretty safe to say that he's gotta be already aware that he's been busted. And really who would want to contact the guy based on what we know about his interactions with and posts about the runners. Picture that conversation. So it's crickets from Bob. The forum was certainly more fun with him though.
It is beautiful that LRC put him in check not once but twice.
Bashful Bob's done a Rossi and gone to ground hoping it will all go away.
But if it wasn't bashful Bob bashing away on his office computer keyboard and posting on Letsrun under various handles who was it?
Me thinks someone is being economical with the truth here, either Bob, someone in his office, or both.
Come on Bob, you can tell us.
Funny how karma comes around. CPA (now confirmed as Bob) threatens punitive damages for defamation and now it's actually him who could get sued.

Just caught you lying JOE DIRT and shame on you. How did you possibly come up with a 2015 income statement?
For you to state their 2015 income when 2015 is not finished is wrong and illegal.
I'm glad I started looking at this thread, finally someone caught you lying.
If you had attached your name and info with these posts you could have been sued for defamation of character. Punitive damages are a serious matter.
People like yourself should be ashamed, you just lost all credibility on this thread.
Pages 29 through 30&31 are pure gold with Bob having a conversation with himself as both Ahole elites and Rdsurfingmadonna.

Depends, Ahole elites may have been someone else in the organizations office, the question is who?
Guess we'll never find out as Bob and the rest of them have gone to ground.

Actually, I think some others grabbed the "Ahole elites" handle after Bob's oops post.

This is getting really fun. On the RW article comments, Bob is now willing to put $10,000 on the line that one of people pretending to be him, as "Ahole elites" or "surfingmaddona", was Matt Slocum.
Rojo is pulling the IP address and will find, most likely (unless Bob posted from different places), that surfingmadonna, Ahole elites, and CPA are from the same IP address.
Will Bob lose another $10k because his wild scrambling, after his girlfriend posted a very good defense of him but unfortunately didn't replace his "Ahole elites" name, included the claim that most of his posts weren't really him? In the midst of his scrambling, several people, but not Matt Slocum according to Matt, posted as Ahole elites or surfingmadonna just to mess with Bob. It's not clear which of Bob's comments he is now saying were not him.
A summary/review copied from p. 31
Rojo already confirmed that the same computer made ALL 9 Ahole elites post. And that Ahole elites computer is also confirmed as the same as what Bob used to post "Hello" as Adtgy, since he revealed via Facebook that he made that postSo Bob was having a conversation with himself while playing the victim.
The best decision he could make would be to stop using computers, like a lot of people in the wrong (Rossi, Litton etc) he appears to think that it isn't incredibly easy to spot sockpuppets when they are defending the indefensible. Sometimes it can be a very skilful troll but usually their cleverness gives them away as such.

Rojo confirmed that the ahole elites username was never hijacked. All of the 9 posts came from the same computer that Bob was using to post. Since the only employees are him and girlfriend it's not like some rogue employee snuck in and posted. It was from Verizon Wireless too so probably his phone

Conclusion, Bob's an idiot and should cough up the $10,000 for the Red Cross.
Funny I just got an email in my regular email advertising for this race. Made me laugh since I had read this thread. What a turd of an organization. I'm just a hobby jogger so wouldn't be in the running for any money but wouldn't want to support a group that operates like this turd.
