First time Turkey Trotter. Ran the 10k. 5K course was ~3.4mi, 10K course was 5.7mi. Tempo run for me, out there in a costume having some fun

To specify, I was the overall human female and she was the overall dog (all genders). I definitely slow her down though. I'd like to tether her to Mo Farah and see how fast she could run a 10K. -

Ran the Oceanside 5k. No mile markers and the results posted are gun time results (we wore chips on our bib). With 10k runners, you gotta have chip time results.

Better than I thought..I beat the turkey by about 5 minutes.
2000 runners. 10K Great day, great finish.
Finished 3rd in the 60-69 age group.
First age group hard since 2007.
But, I just turned 60 so Im at the FRONT end of the age group...
Great race. Great finish on the grass. -

41 minute 10k, won by 6 minutes. our town is clearly a mecca for running
