I can't tell if you are trolling or if you really don't understand the point you are refuting. He is saying that for 25-30ish years, it was nearly guaranteed that the FL champion was the best HS XC runner. It is his claim that this is who the "curse" is on - the best XC runner, which is not necessarily the FL champion now that we have NXN. Is it ridiculous? Of course. But so is the idea of a "curse" to start with. He is just trying to have some fun with it and is saying that the curse lives on. Really, he might have a point. In the NXN era, has any girl that finished the season as the top ranked prep XC runner went on to win a national title?
