I do not think I would just let go of being cheated out of an Olympic medal. 1 its a dream come true2 now you return home with the most prized possession in the sport and forever remembered as a medalist 3 sponsorships/endorsements, appearances, and any endeavor comes much easier with a medal behind your name.
