Yes - I cant wait to take out the first mile of the Manchester Road Race in Manchester, CT in 4:30 and still be in 50th place!!!! What a lame Turkey Trot!!! Bunch of hobbyjoggers I tell you! Better hop on a motorcycle dressed as Mike Rossi or Kip Litton instead!!! :)

The first mile of that course is blazing fast. Second mile is super slow (uphill)
Why is it when you got runner's trots there's a mess everywhere, and then when you got yer turkey trots it's a 5k?

If you get a late start on your training you can always purchase a pair of Nike VaporFly 4% for the big trot. This will makeup for any lack of training by improving your form exponentially.
