He didn't beat Ches...Ches just got 2nd place. I think that is the perfect way of putting it.

Ches will win, pretty handily. Not for the lack of competition but for his shear talent and skill compared to his competitors.
Top 5 Individuals;
1) Ches: duh
2) Koech: he is due, and will win in the kick against the other 3
3) Tiernan: valiant effort
4)Curtain: decides to sit on this one
5) Knight: The birth( or continued reign) of the next elite college distance runner
Top 3 Teams:
1) Syracuse: This team is understated on their 4-5 also no true freshman in top 5 this could bode well with all the experience. They will get their top 3 all in the top 15 (combo of Night, Hehir, and Bennie).Dan Lennon is the key here, he is legit in the 10k, competing well in track with Hehir and he is due for his big race this season, if he brings it like he is capable and Hubbard runs solid this team surprises the NCAA. All top 5 raced at nats last year
2) Colorado: They haven't looked dominant all year, and I have to penalize that. There was NO doubt the last two years that they were winning, and this year just doesn't seem to fit. this guess is all off the gut feeling, I think the Saarel late plug in wont pay off in the end...almost seems desperate, but who knows.
3) Stanford: last viable team but not level of Colorado or Syracuse. I think every top 5 runner on this team could be either top 20 or out of it, inconsistent is the name of this game. and when you rely on a freshman that doesn't always create the best outcome (excluding Ches)
