Maybe it's a motivation issue. Find what motivates you, or perhaps who and it may just be the push you need.

I'll tell you how, trust fund babies.
It must be nice.
Ha! Excellent generalization. Tell me, oh wise man, how the 1.26M residents of Manhattan afford their $2,000+/mo studios and $3,000+/mo 1BD (non-doorman). Do they all have trust funds or do they work?
.
Last time I looked at Aspen, had none of the things listed here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City#EconomyI'm not sure how you can call living in 350sq. feet living for $1400/mo, but, okay. That's your choice and I'm genuinely glad that's working for you.
But what would OP do in Aspen as a traveling business consultant? Not travel and work in a restaurant?

Can you summarize that? I don't have freaking time to watch a video that long? That's the problem today. People just don't value your time. Post an article or transcript. Long videos suck.
In consulting if you want to be rated highly, outperform peers, and move up you have to set your goals above the firm's and deliver. Really exceed expectations in all categories. However, judging by your note, it sounds like you're not interested in that because you're not engaged in the work itself.
I'd encourage you to be introspective and make a list of what needs to change in your current situation. Maybe you can tweak the projects you work on and sites you work from or maybe you need to leave consulting and find a different career all together to be satisfied. In addition to that, I'd ask these questions and answer honestly: Where am I happy living? What do I value? What type of work keeps me engaged? At what type of company (F500, startup, etc)? Short and long term work/life balance I'm seeking? How much money do I want to make?
This is also a piece I read a while back which I thought did a great job of saying nothing is perfect, I'd encourage you to read it. -

to the op and anyone caught in the rat race:
find what you do better than other people and make that your job
bonus points if you would still go into work and complete your tasks if money was irrelevent
find a work/life balance
dont stay at a job if yku dont like it
dont tolerate a bad employer
Get a more stable job, even if it pays a lot less. You will be much happier.
