Well, what I learned from this thread is that a lot of people are very confident they know how the law works, but are very wrong.
I assume this case was settled, probably quite a while ago. You won't hear the plaintiffs yapping about it because they would have agreed to keep it confidential.
If I was Nike I would fight it on principle alone. It would be easier to just settle and not deal with them. But I would love to see these people get buried in court and stuck with a bill that forces them to lose everything.

I agree with much of what she said now that I am older and slower. it is now about going out and completing events for me.
I don’t agree with doing a 50K to prepare for a marathon.
Letsrun should file a class action lawsuit against every shoe company for all of the injuries we've experienced over the years.
If nike can prove that the forced time off directly led to her improvement, perhaps they should be owed some cut of any prize money she earns in races.
I am curious what Nike paid to settle the case. I will never know but am curious.
