Craig Leon actually looks very comfortable! Just hope he can hold on
Craig Leon actually looks very comfortable! Just hope he can hold on
Watching on Eurosport, Leon is getting a lot of mention and air time, and good for him.
They've gone to commercial and you've missed the big break in the women's race!!!
Keitany is clear!!
Leon looks the most relaxed in the jogging lead pack, great form...
history on him please?
They indeed mentioned his name and something about that this is his 4th marathon of the year.

No recollection of a Leon reference.
Now they are starting to give the 'sub-elites' some props.
For years, I hear of Nick A's 2:11 PR & consistency. But in the races that matter more....
Congratulations to ESPN2 for some of the best coverage the NY Marathon has ever had.
For once--thank God!--the coverage is actually on the race and the racers, not on Joe Back-of-the-Pack running against colorectal cancer, or whatever the heck they're flacking these days with the help of distance running.
2011, 2013? Leon had a really good Boston run. Close to top 10 I think?

Wouldnt it be a solid strategy for Meb to get a lot of air time early in the race, then gracefully drop out along first avenue and save it for Oly Trials?
He doesn't need to save anything to win against American scrubs at trials. He will win it just like in 2012, when he had even less time after NYC.
When he was chatting with Leon right before the bridge I knew he was planning to hit the front on the bridge and lead coming onto 5th Ave. So he got the air time. He's not a DNFer like certain other American elites, though.
Keitany just put 10 seconds on Tufa in the last half mile. Goodnight.
Keitany's lead is massive -- 19 seconds at 22 miles and growing rapidly. She should cruise to the title now, but you never know...
Looks like Keitany has this in the bag. Way, clear.
Thweat in 7th :48 back.
Rojo, if posters on this thread generally agreed, would you stop re-posting the entire string of splits and updates? It makes the thread much less readable.
Please post "agree" if you agree.
