So ESPN just went over their contenders. I'm shocked they didn't mention or show Kamworor.
They had the 4-5 guys on the screen but no Kamworor.

Well, it is hot and windy -- 55F and 6 mph.
That is not hot.
That is definitely not windy.
Truly amazing. "Marlins Man" - the guy who is always in th front row of every sporting event is in the lead vehicle for the NYC Marathon:
Actually feeling a tad bit bummed for Hadley, this is going to be tough for her even with a good day. Hopefully there's at least one woman to run with.
Moreira in the lead, setting the pace. Hutchins mentioned something about her and a recent HM but I missed it. Anyone?

Mile 2: 5:14 (11:12)
Mile 3: 5:36 (16:48)
5K: 17:21 Moreira, Daunay and Fien have been doing the work up front
Mile 4: 5:32 ( 22:20 )
Mile 5: 5:28 (27:48)
American Laura Thweatt is with the leaders.
American teenaager Alana Hadley came through 4 miles in 24:00. 5 miles in30:02.
Looks like Prokopcuka, Deba dropping from lead pack around 5 miles. Moreira of Portugal is pushing it at the front.
The women's race is going exactly how Claudio beradelli thought (and hoped it would go). He said the Europeans only chance to do well was to go out and run 2:25 ish pace from the front. Nice and even. That's pretty much what they are doing.
Ouch... A woman just faceplanted at the start

Who?
And why is Alexi Pappas in the lead vehicle? What has she done of note?
A hobby jogger not an elite fyi
Tim Hutchings is diong a good job now of mentioning Kamworor right when he gets a shot to give his thoughts on the race.
Why did I laugh at that? That wasn't funny.
5:24 first mile in men's race. Yes, that's slow for a marathon, but remember the first mile is pretty much all uphill on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.
Meb pushing pace already... Expecting to see that a lot today

He is not pushing on my stream. More of a tagging along.
