Business jargon can be awful.
Can you "action" something?
Let's "touch base"
We should make sure we add value

Anything that involves using the word literally figuratively. That's what I can't stand.
"better than sliced bread"

what does skinny fat even mean. That one is fat and scrawny at the same time?
Glad you asked. Many runners suffer from this due to diet high in carbs and soy.
They (the runners) have SKINNY arms and legs so that women laugh about them and don't take them serious. At the same time, they have visible belly fat.
It's not pretty to look at and the reason so few runners go shirtless. Compare that with CrossFit, where e.g. in my box during our workouts most of the seasoned ATHLETES show off their great PHYSIQUES. There's a lot of MIRIN going on when someone has a great body like I do.
"Where your dreams become reality"
Beginning a sentence with an irrelevant "So" has become very trendy, and very annoying.

I order you to watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyV_UG60dD4Exactly my point. You can't negate "who you got" If you try using "who you not got" you see how STUPID it is.
"Winning that race was humbling"
I know it's been said several times, but I will keep complaining about it until people stop using it.
"He's such a dynamic [player, passer, leader, athlete, etc]".
It's overused to the point it has no meaning anymore. If you watch any game on TV you can bet it will be used to describe at least 3 people.
"We overcame a lot of adversity"
Again, overused coach speak. My hs basketball coach wouldn't shut up about learning how to "deal with adversity". I kept waiting for something bad to happen that we were going to deal with. Then I realized he meant meant playing from behind, getting a bad call, or rolling an ankle.
"Coach speak"
I just realized I hated this one after using it.
This isn't really a phrase, but I can't stand it when someone says "seen" instead of saw. I work without about four women who do it constantly.
"I seen that you went there over the weekend."
"You seen that I sent you that email, right?"
They are also fond of the words "ain't" and using "nothing" in the place anything. "She ain't got nothing."
The overuse of the word "Amazing" to describe relatively mundane situations or objects.
"begs the question" when used incorrectly(or approximately 99.9999999% of the time)
anywho
being addressed as champ, chief, sport, ace, buddy, mack or pal
the use of bro and dude in any context

Not to mention ending a sentence with "So" except that it's more like, "Sooooooo...." as in "draw your conclusions because I don't have the fortitude to say what I think."
The #1 most annoying expression of the moment:
"on point"
End of discussion.
"Pre Lives"

"I can't stand."
Why do these words have a physical effect on your posture? Do these also affect your ability to walk or just to stand? Are you able to sit for these phrases or expressions?
With almost 100 posts someone other than me must find this topic interesting.
You are laughing AT them and don't take them SERIOUSLY
Thanks for the answer!
It is called a double negative.

Yes, where the hell did that come from?
