My guess is that the killer likely commits suicide as well. He called 911 on himself and is a known schizophrenic. I am not defending the guy, but he clearly did not do this for any reason other than being totally crazy.
I know that we cannot go about locking people up for mental disorders, but at some point we need people to be more comfortable turning themselves in when violent behavior starts to become possible.
Anyone who has gone through a terrible tragedy knows how hard it can be waking up each day. Opening your eyes and all is normal for about 1 second before you remember the terrible reality of the situation. This gets better over time, but it does take a lot of time. I fell so badly for this woman, but I hope that she has found peace.
For anyone reading this: when you go through something unimaginably difficult, you will suffer. but it gets better. I promise. One day you will wake up and realize that it isn't quite as hard as it was yesterday. Keep that in the back of your mind.
The silver lining here is that they didn't have children, so the suffering from this whole tragedy will not be quite as intense for quite as long as it could have been.
