No they did not. That is just you projecting your anti brojo sentiments into the thread. I did not get that Mary is a doper after reading the article and this thread.
No doubt that PED is a hot topic in the world of T&F so you would expect the subject to be talked about on both the main page and the boards. Pretending it doesn't exist will help no one (except maybe the cheaters).
You really have to have your head in the sand to say that. LRC is witch-hunt headquarters, and the fact the Brojos let that continue is evidence enough. Unless you're a fawning fanboy it's pretty hard to look at any "lack of comment" statement as anything other than an indictment of guilt, since if it wasn't there'd be no reason to make note of it.
PED is a hot topic, and I'd surely like to root it out also, but the LRC model of proclaiming everyone guilty and letting the rumor mill sort it out is the wrong way of going about it. If every "hard question" is either "how guilty are you?" or "who can you rat on?" it's not a true window into the issue. It's surely not going to get any athlete without a vendetta to open up, meaning the end result is either unbelievable or avoidance.
LRC doesn't "talk about" drug use it publishes string of accusations with the hope one of them will stick. There's a big difference, and if your goal is to eliminate PED use instead of generate click-bait there would be a more thorough and reasoned approach.
Rumors and "who's on drugs" surveys aren't part of responsible journalism. If anything I believe it encourages PED usage since it sends the message that everyone is on drugs and getting away with it, and if you're not you're one good day away from being accused. With that atmosphere why not take PEDs?
