Tried to run during another girl's soccer game. Got kicked off as per a "District Rule." Track not open to public until 10 pm WTF??? I had just finished a 200m repeat at 26.27 and was feeling fresh.

Who was the other girl who's soccer game you disrupted?

We should have NEVER let soccer on American soil.

Hey, things could be worse. You could be running during a lacrosse game or practice. I have, and it ain't fun.
HS/college soccer coaches are some of the most egotistical jerks around.

Nice.

Tell them how you went to MIT and are a big-time D1 coach.
How did they catch you? You are faster than they are

Do you plan to be a sad sack whining POS your whole life? Do you cry at the ice cream store when your friend got a little more ice cream than you? Or more sprinkles? Could you be any more pathetic?
Come back at 10. You certainly won't be busy with any woman. Or does your mom have a curfew for you?

I'm not actually distraught about this
So runners need to use public tracks after 10pm and be happy about it?
What's wrong with talking about lack of track access?
It is a real problem.
You don't represent anyone except your mama. You certainly don't represent me. I like Jamin's posts.
I've been kicked off while the football team practiced at a HS. I guess they thought that I was a spy.
Too many schools have fenced off their tracks these days and I just generally feel unwelcome. Or else you are trespassing, might be a mass-killer.
Unwritten rule... if there is a game taking place on the infield, you don't use the track. Go elsewhere.

I bet the sign by the gate says Track closes at 10

There were hardly any parents in the bleachers, the parents who were there were sitting in the upper levels of the bleachers, and I was running in lane 6. They had a clear view of the game. Ever seen the periphery of a big football game? There are a million things going on between the bleachers and the field itself.
A soccer game was just ending when I got to the track last night for my workout at 9. I did grass strides around the turn and then grass strides down the field while they were clearing out, a total of 16x100 and then 4x100 drills. In other words, I adjusted my workout to fit what was available and I didn't try to force my way around the track when they were cleaning up. Then I did the rest of my workout. See how easy it is to work around others?

It is definitely a real problem. I have zero outdoor track access in this city of 220,000, and the indoor 200m track that I must pay to use, often has the inner lane marked for walking.
Congratulations, jamin, you are now considered a creepy older dude. Such dudes must be keep at a distance from young teenage girls. Such dudes are not to be trusted ... father's and mother's rule.
Follow the rules. You are disturbing an organized soccer game. The Soccer girls should ride there bikes on the track at 10PM when you are trying to use it. Soccer is a much more important Sport internationally , and you are disturbing people with families.
