We can see that this guy has made himself into quite the runner with that mile workout where he alternates 4:57/4:40 or under, and we have to give him incredible props for going from 9:50 2M in high school to 1:01/2:12. And this is at altitude. That being said, he has very few miles at MP on his long runs--you'd think that frequently doing, say, 12M at MP (altitude corrected), or 5x5k at MP (a Canova workout) or 22 with 12-14 at MP would make him stronger for the marathon.
