a Brojo didn't write this? Because the article spells it "lightening" and they would too.
Thats about 11 min/mile pace, but dang he looks good.
He was already 35 when WWII ended!
If you're walking along at the average 16 min/mile pace and here comes this 105-year-old man jogging by you much faster, and you knew he was 105 years old, you would flip your lid. You'd be like, holy shit, there's a fast old man.
People don't realize how fast a fast old man can be. The 70-74 WR for 400m is under 60 seconds, which a lot of 20-something LR posters can't do.
It should be noted that Miyazaki has challenged Usain to a race:
He is the ONLY person over 100 to run the 100m.

does that make it more or less impressive?

And your point is?

That the 100 for the over 100 is basically like ultra running.

age cheat??
Just kidding, man he looks good. Hope I'm still kickin' like that...
nice legs
First off, this is great. Still having fun at 105...
I think a great race would be if Hidekichi runs the 100m and Bolt runs the 400m -- especially if Hidekichi peaked too soon in the season.
Bolt would come off the final turn and Hidekicki would be 20m away from the finish, considering he averages 4.2s/10m that would a spectacle.

I'd watch it.
Record is 34.5 for that age group.

But would you pay money to watch it?
Apparently the whole heat was 80+. The winner looks pretty impressive to me too.
Clearly he is doped to the gills
Dang the winner is a stud!
