Good story, but he's wearing a singlet, not the participant shirt?
Ok, I really don't understand what the OP is asking. Do you have to wear the shirt that comes in your event grab bag?
Yeah, I want to know how fast Letsrun thinks someone has run a marathon wearing the short- or long-sleeved t-shirt that comes in the event swag bag they give you at the expo.
Wearing the "free" shirt the race gives you is usually a dead giveaway that it's your first marathon and you're in way over your head. At the very least, it shows you're breaking one of the most important rules of marathoning - that you shouldn't wear anything on race day you haven't trained in. But my friend, who's crazy, thinks tons of people have probably gone under 2:30 and I'm, like, uh, no way.
