It's always the tall guy that wins the race. Height is the single biggest advantage that one can have in running.
That must be why Andrew Wheating is a gold medalist.
I saw Kevin McHale run XC back in the day. We was pretty decent at it, but more of a middle distance guy.
Also watched him play basketball.
His dad was an avid chicken eater as I recall.
if Tabor Stevens stood up straight he'd be right around 6'7. He's also run 3:40 and 8:25 for the steeple, which you'd think would be uncharacteristic for a guy his size
Steve Waite played at Iowa ca. 1980. He put the Hawks into the final 4.
He ran varsity XC in high school, at least 6'9" at the time (said to be 6'10" in college).
I done seen a kid who was 6'8" competing for Cal Poly Pomona years ago.
Will Manning at Wingate University is 6'7"
Central Ohio runners are probably familiar with somebody that is 6'11", he even went to the high school closest to Flagpole.
Diane Nukuri Johnson.
Maksim Korolev is 6'5" if that's who you mean.
Jack Binegar from Kalamazoo, MI ran XC his junior year (22:25 for 5k). At 6'8" or 6'9" he plays basketball for the local community college.
McHale wasn't even the tallest one on that team, if I remember correctly.
There was 6'8" Chris Weber from Canada. He made the World XC teams 7 times in the 1990s. Ran 10k in in 28:12, 5km in 13:30ish, and 3:40 for 1500m. Only start running in college. Made the 1992 Olympic team but had to bail due to testicular cancer. He recovered, but missed the Olympics in 1996 by 1 second. Awesome dude.

"The colgate guy was Chris Johnson- he really was huge, just ate up real estate. I'm not sure if he still runs."
He's 6'4. Looks like he didn't eat up so much real estate after all, pricks.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
