Men's race just starting now. Anyone else up watching?
I am trying to. In the US and need a livestream.
Right now I am watching on
http://cricfree.sx/update/euro2.php
but it has popups blocking most of the screen. At one point, I could see a pair of white legs at the back of the lead pack. Is that Ryan?
I'm trying to watch, too. I'm also using the cricfree site. Not great. Samba, Biwott, Kigen, and Mo all among the leading group.
They just showed a shot of the road behind the lead pack, and there weren't any runners for about a 1/4 mile. Hall is completely out of the picture. He's running, right?
Over 20 minutes in and still no sight of Hall, which I will assume means we won't be seeing him at all. Interesting to see Mo take the lead early on, though he's tucked back in now.
I had to turn down the sound, can’t stand listening to Foster continually experiencing orgasms over Farah any longer.
Is there a runner tracking page so we can see Hall's splits?

I'll take that any day over Tom Hammond.
Sambu off the back early. Kind of surprising, I expected him to at least contend for the win.
He started the race because he is in this picture from right after the start that is at the top of the BBC Great North Run news page:http://www.bbc.com/news/live/uk-england-tyne-34184615It looks like he got his hair cut.

Farah and Biwott are absolutely flying. Last 5k in something like 13:40.
Gemma Steel wins the clean white ladies race
Farah dropping the hammer downhill like bekele did to him. Biwott right on him not going away
59:22 for Mo!
Farah 59:22, Biwott 59:23. Farah kicked with about 350m to go.. Last 800m sub 2 minutes
Farah 59:22

Bekele dropped the hammer going up the hill.
The poster was right, Bekele dropped the hammer going down the hill. Farah later blamed Radcliffe for telling him not to push the last big downhill. As a result he lost contact with Bekele.
Where is Ventolin when you need him? He should be able to calculate the "real value" of this run, since Biwott spent the second half weaving all over the road, with Farah tracking him like a shadow.
Not even close to running the tangents. I was hoping it was quick enough that Biwott had ran some (or most of) the kick out of Farah. Biwott stayed close, even the last big kick, but not quite enough.
Biwott pushed hard in the middle ... 4:25, 4:23, 4:20, although I forget which miles exactly. 5-7 or 6-8 I think?
Cram and Foster made it sound like Kenya sent a bunch of scrubs to World's, saying that today Farah was facing the "real talent" (or something to that effect). Not sure what they are talking about ... Biwott was the only top-tier half guy as competition, and it showed.
Pretty sure I heard Foster call Caleb Ndiku "Cosmos Ndiku" at one point as well ... Even the Brit commentators aren't perfect it would seem.
Anyone know if Biwott is doing a fall marathon? He was 4th in London back in April (2:06:41 ... but his last 2K+ was at 3:30/k pace, ouch). 2:04:55 PR.
Brendan Foster is the most ridiculous commentator. I can't help but cringe listening to him constantly stutter and confuse himself. He also reminds of Penfold from Danger Mouse, the resemblance between the two is uncanny!

It seems as though in another half marathon or two Mo will be ready to go for the world record. Every one he runs he has gotten quicker. Obviously the great north course does not count for record purposes but if he goes back to Lisbon I could see 58:xx for sure. I know all of you are going to say he doesn't go for records and slam me for saying it but whatever. If he wants it he could get it.
