Could you at least post the info on what race this is? "Worlds" to most of the fans here was a track meet in Beijing that recently ended and the longest event contested there was a 50K walk for the men.
Wow, what a bizarre "pretending to be confused" post. Do you post the same thing after the world half-marathon championships, the world cross-country championships, or any of the other world championships the IAAF sanctions?
Despite my respect for CH, I'm not going to google an ultra marathon result...
Nah, not going to bother posting a link for you. (And hey, I'm a former miler who's longest race was a 10-miler, so it's not like I'm an ultra guy. I'm just a fan of the sport.)
You can be a fan of the sport and still be a fan of Jaquar.
Way to go Camille!
Not too many World Champions post here.

Still no real world champions.
Wahoo!
I was a big fan of jaguar1 when she was making her way up from stress fractures to high mileage to OTQ now to ultras. Still a big fan. I love her blog about her marathon where she poops her pants.
All of you, go back to jogger's world.

My point was that it is lazy to start a thread on a subject that only a very small set of posters here have any knowledge about (ultras) and leave out the very important detail of what championship was won. This wasn't the track WC, Olympics, or Super Bowl. The subject line was fine, but a sentence or two of education is called for in the body of the post when starting a thread sometimes.
How many people here are even aware that the IAAF sponsors a 100K race? I didn't know that. I am aware of the HM championship and don't consider that to be on the level of a true WC (it is a prestigious race though). I have no idea how prestigious this 100K contest is in the Ultra world, but am willing to listen if someone has some thoughts to share. This is a place for discussion, after all.
Probably more than 80% of Letsrun.com community members know that the IAAF sponsors a 100K race. I know you are new here, but we are a very intelligent and knowledgeable run community. We are not Runner's World.
Did you even know that Max King won the World Championship over 100K last year and over the Mountain Championship previously?
You should follow the sport more closely so you don't look like an idiot in this forum, Bring Back the 880.

I didn't know the IAAF sponsors a 100K race.
I've heard of a mountain championship but don't know who puts that on.
I don't personally care about ultra results but I have heard of races like Western States, 24 hour championships, etc.
So I think you are way, way off on your 80% claim.
To call someone who won whatever race the OP is talking about a "world champion" is kind of like calling dentists "Dr" Whomever. Yeah, they may have a doctorate degree, but it is in dentistry and is not the medical field that people assume when hearing the Dr title. Actually, it's probably more like Chiropractors calling themselves Dr since that is less competitive, as far as getting into school and graduating even than dentistry.
This is maybe one or two steps up from a "world record" for fastest marathon while wearing a Spider-Man costume.

Just crushed the 100k at worlds in 7:08.
That says it all, the name, the distance, the event, the time, the champion.
6:53/M for 62+ miles or 3:00:xx/marathon for 2 marathons back to back and another 10M, awfully tough.
rexthebex, you've heard of "24 hour championships" but you've never heard of the 100K World Championships!? Ha, get a clue. Only fast dudes (2:09-2:13 guys) race the World 100K Champs.
Nice try, and learn something about the sport, buddy.
It's only on IAAF's front page, alongside Mo Farah's victory,
http://www.iaaf.org/news/report/buud-herron-100km-world-championships
Get off Facebook and follow the sport.
However many people here know or don't know that there is a world championship at 100 kilometers is irrelevant. There is one. The thread title explains what she won. If it doesn't interest you enough to check further that's you business but don't expect others to compensate for what you don't know. If you're interested in knowing more than the thread
Nice going Jaguar1.
What kind of PRs do the current 100km runners have I know jag has a 2:38ish PR?
Steve Way, who dropped out of the race, ran 2:15 last year representing England at 2014 Commonweath Games. He is a V40.
Men's winner was Jonas Buud who I believe has a marathon PR of 2:21, maybe 2:22.

What are you talking about? The original post says she won the 100K and is now world champion. What information is missing? The fact that a 100K world championship race exists? Surely you can infer that from the fact that she won it, even if you'd never heard of it before.
Sorry dingle. Camille, (Jag) is a very real World Champion, whether you like it or not.
I'm sure if you had run and won...we would all hear about it and congratulate you on being a World Champion representing the USA.

I assume that she is the one making all of these posts because I can't imagine that anyone else has heard of her or this race.
She is, or at least was, a regular poster on these boards under Jaguar1 and did not hide her identity. She works as a physiologists or some type of medical research and has shared her work that pertains to running on LR a lot. She's a good person that contributes to the boards in a positive manner.
Welcome to LR newb.
