Shannon wants something Jenny has. Two world's medals and a Diamond League title. Sure, an AR is great, but Jenny is greater, career wise.

After watching the race I am left with a few observations...
1. Jenny seems to do a great deal of the work leading the 2nd pack.
2. Jenny also seems to edge a little wide to make Shannon (or whoever else she thought was coming) run wider.
3. Good lord, this is like a heated debate about a bitter JV rivalry. Yes, I know they are highly accomplished. But seriously, it was hard to see what they were doing because they couldn't even stay in the same camera shot with the race leaders.

No kidding. It looked like pros v. joes out there.
some of you seem to forget that jenny basically said that shannon hasn't or doesn't beat her despite shannons AR. well, shannon set the AR and beat her there and in the last 2 outings no? sure they were getting dusted by the leaders, but they still beat the majority of the race and jenny was obviously trying to beat shannon at that point and she couldn't. jenny veers right to block shannon, and then walks sharp left after the line to avoid her. i do like jenny, but she looks a bit childish in this. i would like to see shannon take more initiative, but jenny is ultimately left with her foot in her mouth after her comments after shannon set the AR.

No.
She corrected the inaccurate claim the interviewer made in which he stated that Jenny and Shannon had been trading wins. That wasn't the case.
Ok, looking at the replay again, it looks like Rowbury looked over because there was brief arm contact between her and Simpson who drifted out nearly a whole lane.
They may or may not like each other- I have a colleague that I (and just about everyone else I work with) do not like. It has nothing to do with who is better at what we do- we can't stand his personality.
I'm also sure that Jenny and Shannon are way to intelligent to let some dweebs on letsrun fuel any fire because of a sideways glance at the end of a race or over some comment in an interview that someone decided to interpret in their own special way.
If you look at my local running scene the top women are always acting catty. Go to any workplace and listen to the women talk (about each other).
It's the way of the world boys, get used to it.

That's not a conversion, it's a comparison...dear stupid Watson.

Shannon has a world medal and broke a 31 year old AR.
She also has faster PBs at 800, 1500, mile, and 5k
Lol. Shannon feels that Jenny is her "rival" but Jenny is hardly concerned with Shannon. She feels she is competitive on the world stage while Shannon is not.
And yeah. Right. Shannon was looking at the scoreboard. NOT. She was looking over, pointedly at Jenny.
And giving the look: HEY! I beat you. Yes I lost the race and didn't place but I beat you ole Jenny Simpson how dare you say that I haven't beaten you in years. Here. Take that!

Nah, it's a conversion. do you even run, brah?

!
So somebody that is faster and is starting to dominate her is not a concern?
Seems Jenny is NOT actually that competitive anymore her "feelings" aside.

So you're saying we're wrongly fueling the fire and then saying we are right?

You are really dense and blinded by your obsession with Jenny.
But if you are truly speaking for Jenny then you can both keep living in your fantasy world if it makes you feel better
The fact is that Shannon looked at Jenny because she tried to cut her off and made contact at the finish line. I guess Jenny figured it worked last year in Zurich so why not try again.
Hey! Second Time Around. . does this name refer to you are going in to your childhood a second time? Because what is with the personal attack and name calling? lol. Can't you debate a topic without getting personal dense and blinded. . how immature. Please grow up. This is the first rule of forum etiquette. Can I not give my opinion (supported by facts) on two racers. Why are you so sensitive? are you Shannon or her family?

Jenny is world class. Shannon is an elite U.S. runner. There is a difference.
Jenny is also more versatile as in cross country, steepler, miler, 3000. She will ]and has had a long stellar career.

Everyone else improved. Hassan is 22. Simpson is past the point of big improvements.
Pffft! She needs to get on anti-aging Gatlin's program. She'll find WR form at age 35.

Well Shannon beats her and has the AR so either both are elite or neither are.

LOL - well aren't you funny! Jenny easily beat Shannon today. When Shannon can't be pulled by Jenny for most the race she loses to Jenny. Will have to rethink your logic, that is not logical after all.
