Rowbury loves to sit on Simpson and outkick her now.
It is a bit depressing to see them both getting crushed in the 1500.
Great race up front with Kipyegon and Hasan switching the lead on the final lap multiple times.

Which is exactly what she did again. Rowbury should actually try going for it instead of just trying to beat Jenny.

Rowbury ran like her only goal was to beat Simpson. I honestly think she is the better runner at the moment.
Simpson is stronger, I'd agree. But it's the race that measures who is the better runner, and right now, Rowbury's defensive racing is making her the better runner.
jenny S. got a PB there? is that correct?

I 100% disagree. Simpson almost always has beaten Rowbury when it matters most. I discount World this year as Simpson lost a shoe. Yes, Rowbury beat her here and in Monaco but in both races, SImpson acted like a rabbit.
Anyway, here are the results.

It's hard to believe that Simpson was once the World champ and Rowbury has medalled. If I'm simpson, I get my ass into the steeple. Beating Ghiribi may be hard but everything else is possible.
Sitting and kicking to try and finish first is one thing, but sitting and kicking just to beat one specific other runner in the field is pretty weak.
Rowbury might be the better tactical American racer, but in my mind Simpson is still more relevant in world competition discussion.
They just showed a picture of Coe. Does he has a nike swoosh on the suit somewhere?

Rowbury's defensive racing and focusing on Simpson makes her another NOP POS.
Francena just ran one hell of a 300m.
She fell apart baaaaaad
Wow, looks like Price got the pace PERFECT. The Price WAS right, this time. Finally a good woman pacer!
Here are some men's 5k stats for you.
Before the race, 89 men have broken 13:00 in history a total of 326 times.
Two Americans have broken 13:00 in the same race. Bernard Lagat and Chris Solinsky both did it in Zurich in 2010. Never in history have two non-African born runners both broken 13:00 in the same race.
The Non-African Born Sub-13 Runners In History
1 12:54.70 Dieter Baumann Germany
2 12:55.53 Chris Solinsky USA
3 12:55.76 Craig Mottram Australia
4 12:56.27 Dathan Ritzenhein USA
5 12:58.21 Bob Kennedy USA
6 12:58.56 Matt Tegenkamp USA
7 12:58.58 Moukhled Al-Outaibi Saudi Arabia
8 12:58.90 Galen Rupp USA
Simpson chooses to be in the lead.
Everyone talks about how smart she is as a tactical racer.
Then when Rowbury beats her you say Simpson was her rabbit as if that is the only reason that Rowbury came in ahead.
Give Shannon credit. She is the better runner this year and she has earned it.
simpson cannot beat rowbury right now - fact
"has" is the key word you mentioned in your post
rowbury got the american record, in what, a second faster than simpson?
simpson doesn't have to be rowbury's rabbit....or she could just beat her at the end when she knows her 'shadow' is trying to kick her down if she is indeed a better runner.
New Balance had a bad year. martinez, coburn, simpson.
i think simpson is a better runner generally, and i certainly root for her more, but rowbury is a better 1500m runner hands down in 2015.
there's no disputing this.

It's tattoo'd on his Johnson.
To be fair, Nike ponied up in his running career when others wouldn't step up with the Benjamins.
I'm more interested in what is known about whether Coe's "blood infection" could have been doping related.

Yes he did and I almost posted about it. Kinda funny but I can see some folks crying about sexism.
I disagree with so much of your stuff. Simpson is trying to be one of the best of world. Rowbury is trying to beat simpson. It reminds me of the inter-team battles you often see.
In case you are wondering. 62.40 gets you 13:00.
