Also, I think sprinters have a pretty good rep. Even doing the stupid "beast" pose I don't think there is much to say about a guy that looks like Yohan Blake. Even during Lewis's era you had Johnson looking like a damn body builder. I think it's funny that he talks about the need for flexibility and regretting not working on it competing, since there was just a study regarding "the flexibility gene" that completely contradicts this. In old age it is beneficial, but for speed you run faster with tighter springs, which is why you listen to a coach and not an athlete for advice.
Regarding his new workout routine, these kinds of classes are fine if you are just trying to stay active and be a little more balanced, but you're not going to get any faster by racing your cat up your curtains in a pike position. The weight room is absolutely beneficial, and we have come a long way since his time towards improving the exercises.
