Using the clock on the screen (which was off 0.3 for the overall time as it has been the whole WC), Kiprop was 2:41.4 at the bell, finished at 3:34.1, so 52.7 for the last 400, but last 300 in 38.01 is 50.7 pace, while running into lane 3 on the back straight and outside of lane 1 the final curve, plus a small celebration a few steps from the line. So a devastating last 300.
Manangoi *looked* a bit strange, was in good position with 200 to go, totally out of it 100 to go, then appears like a flash of lightning the last meters to nab silver. His actual splirts I have at 13.1/13.0 the final tweo 100s, so it was mostly an illusion caused by everyone else (except Kiprop) tying up.

Also, Ayana running 8:19 is absurd, more so than Diababa's 1:56.9, which was accompanied by so many doping suspicions.
So does Diababa go for a 800/1500 Rio double instead?
