I think you're looking for *absolutely*. We all understand that it's easier to medal if you sit with a slow pace for 4k, but it's not as exciting as an honest race and it's why people don't care about distance running. If I wanted to see a 1k, I'd watch a 1k.
It would be interesting to see poll on the front page.
The men's 5k was:
1) awesome
2) okay but nothing special
3) sucked
The lead article on the women's 800m notes that Belarus is not Russia and that Arzasamova (?) has been a fixture on the circuit, so that we should not assume doping. However, aside from appearance, there is this fact, that Belarus has had 19 doping cases in athletics. While most were in the throws, there have been several sprinters and several middle distance runners, including one this year, who received a 4 year ban.

Comparatively, the U.S. has had far more than 19 doping cases in athletics. Most were not even in the throws, but have consisted of numerous sprinters, middle distance and long distance runners. Belarus is a very clean country doping wise, compared to the US and UK.
Sucked.
