How can Bishop be so composed all the way to the finish line? Its like shes not giving it all. Im sure she does, just strange.
She should have leaned too. Im surprised so few really know how to lean.
So Eaton needs a 4:18.25 to get the WR.
That comes out to 68.86666667 per 400.
Eaton needs to go sub 4:17 for a WR

Ndiku really helped Farah because he took everyone else out of contention.
Gebrhiwet needed the lead at the end of the backstretch, that's how he beat Mo before. But with Ndiku in front of Mo he couldn't do it.
However Mo breezed away from all of them so easily that it was a foregone conclusion. There was nothing any of them could have done.
Stalkers be damned, I'll say it again... next to Mo, skinny old Caleb is a giant. Mo's the lightest guy out there but it doesn't cost him any energy or fitness at all. The only way to beat that advantage is to kick with 300 or less to go, when endurance is no longer a limiting factor. Maybe next time.
HG looked pissed afterwards.
73.54 farrell leading, farah in last. true rupp 2-3
2:26.37 (72.83 lap)
farah goes way wide to get water at 1200. pours it on himself. he’s still at the back.
3:37.71 (71.44 lap)
4:48.33 at 1600 (70.62 lap) still farrell, true, rupp
5:58.68 (70.35 lap)
Farah joines the leaders just after 7 laps to go.
Merga making move to the front pushing at 2400. Farah in second behind him
7:06.41
8:12.71 (66.30). why does merga take the lead and increase pace if he’s only going to run a 66?
9:22.13 at 3200 (69) farah into the lead now, then merga, then rop.
rupp and true in the midle on rail, hill at the back on the rail.
4 th to last lap - 64.77
3rd to last lap - 62.04 Ndiku gets the lead!!
2nd to last lap - 56.13
:Last lap - 52.67
Fara FTW. Ndiku 2nd . Hagos 3rd. Kejelchas 4th.
Rupp runs throught the line and makes sure he beats True. Rupp 5 True 6 Hill 7th.
For some reason this didn't get posted.
The last 1600 was 3:55.6 leader to leader. That means True and Rupp both broke 4:00!!!
Farah's last 800 was 1:48.8!!! So scik.
I just spoke with Hagos after the race. He was happy with third. I asked him waht his 800 pb was and he said 1:53. So tonight he ran close to 150 flat.
Slow races are good too wrote:

Can someone please explain this to me? People always say they want a fast time, but how could that last mile not have been exciting? Who cares if the overall time was slow, that was an awesome race.
But that race wasn't exciting at all. No one did anything for the first 10+ laps. The pack at 4100 metres was exactly the same as it was at 100 metres. They literally jogged around at a pace that would've gotten them dropped in a competitive half marathon. Ndiku's move at the end was exciting, sure, but even then, no one had a response except for Farah. Watching them duel was exciting, sure, but a non-race followed by a two-man race, especially when it's tactically stupid (it makes no sense to not make someone who ran a 10k and went under 13:20 in the heats run hard for all 5k), is really not that exciting. If I'd gotten up at 4 am for this, I'd be pretty pissed.
Paula Radcliffe looks hot on bbc! Milf???
Decathlon world record watch time. Eaton needs 4:18.25 or faster.
Too bad they made the Japanese guy run in the first heat. Would have been a great pacer for Eaton.

Sit and kick in the marathon would be tough.
I live in Australia, and the BBC1 stream isn't working - even with a fake UK IP address (via Hola).
Any suggestions?
So funny watching all these chunky decatheletes lining up for the 1500m.
Always dumbfounded at their ability to perform so well across such a range of events though.

I'm so embarrassed that many of them have better 1500 PR's than me.

Eaton has gone out in 71 flat Now he's picking it up.
1st lap for Eaton - 71 sec
Eurosport announcer seems uncertan if Eaton will get the record due to the heat and humidity
Eaton at 800: 2:22.2. Another 2:22. It's slipoping away. Can he do it? He's going to need a monster last 600.
800m in 2:24 for Eaton/leader
