I doubt $4K is true, I don't think she is getting half that amount. $4K is for athletes expected to challenge for medals. She was never a medal contender as some people suspected. The only reason she made the U.S. team this year was the gift Félix gave her. I am not saying she's overrated, but NCAA sprinters tend to produce fast early season times because of their schedule, whereas the pros are peaking for August. I think she has potential to be good, but I am not sure she can break out of the crowded field of 10.9x and 22,2x sprinters. The U.S. has a half dozen women in the category and there are a dozen more around the world.
