Women that can run 49 or 50 in the 400 are in the medal hunt. They don't train for the 800. The 800 runners are there because they can't run 49 or 50. Like Herb Elliott said, if he could have he would have run the 100, because it is easier.

Might want to show the whole video, she didn't do that til 45 seconds after race, and was clearly breathing pretty heavy, hands on hips, etc. etc. before that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KZCvX40-MQunlike Dibaba who was celebrating 25 meters from the Finish line and doing a windmill crossing the line, then immediately smiling and celebrating without taking a deep breath.

Totally. Let's take a look at what a clean runner looks like after she wins a 1500 WC.

Not going to lie... I was looking for a pen!s for a good solid 5 minutes because of the name of this threat.

Women and men have different physiology. You cannot compare a time a woman runs with the identical time run by a man.
"Women have smaller hearts than men of the same stature. The smaller heart means women will have a smaller stroke volume (output of blood from heart) even with a higher heart rate than men. Women also have 30% less maximal cardiac output than men."
This just supports the fact that women don't run as fast as men over the same distance and that women have a lower ceiling for attaining maximum potential. Women 'max out' at slower times. Both genders follow the same line of fitness (we see this in high school - top HS girls can run 4:40 for the 1600m and 2:05 to 2:10 for 800, which we also see in boys...maybe slightly faster 800s but nevertheless nearly the same), but it's just that women can't seem to go faster than 14:00 for 5k or 49 for 400m, again because they max out at slower times due to their bodies. That's why running success is largely based on genetics. You basically train until you reach your body's max potential. You can train your heart to pump as much oxygen to your cells, but at some point, your heart can only pump so much blood at one time.
Similar to cheetahs and humans; cheetahs can run faster because they have bigger hearts and lungs (higher stroke volume and aerobic capacity) and max out their body's potential at faster times for 100m.
thanks man!they should just do doping test by pictures instead of all these complicated scientific assays. so much easier!

And that's why the w800/1500 are so prone to drug taking.
Every part of the above is garbage. Probably the cheetah part has the edge though.
