How do you find out each day where and how to find the 'youtube' links? They work well but don't know how to access them?
Rupp has run 26:44, Tanui has run 26:49, karoki has run 26:52 and kamworor is the defending half marathon and cross world champion who ran 27:11 at altitude. This was Farahs biggest race and his best 10000 ever. 27:01 in humid China with a 54 close is as good as bekeles 10000s outside of 2008 where he cracked 13:00 the second half
All the times have been slow. It's hot, smoggy, high dew point, or some other Chinese weather incompetence. That was an honest, hard paced race, and a good effort by team Kenya.
Galen looked miserable from 3K. Props to him for hanging in.

Not sure.
Also of note, Mo and Kamwo had a little embrace after the race. Looked like they were actually friendly to one another.

The Kenyans did well. They worked together and all finished in the top four. Kamworor hung tough. You have to respect someone getting the most from themselves. Kamworor is, however, psyched out by Farah; desperation was written all over his face. He needs to drop the desperation and focus on himself. He has a bright future. Just has to figure out how to improve his training.
This was a tough race to criticize Galen on. Given how he almost failed to make the US 5000m squad as well as that Portland Track Festival disaster, it was impressive for him to not get dropped by the pace. As I pointed out in the results, 6th place was in the 27:40s. Rupp ran 27:08.
I know it doesn't seem to affect the Kenyans that much, but compared to London/Moscow, how bad were the weather conditions this evening?

What was honest about this? It was another jogfest and he did ZERO leading. It's the same as every other Farah race so I don't understand how this does anything different to his legacy.
This^
What is so special about a 13:40 opening 5k?
The fact Rupp could hang is a perfect test showing the pace was too slow.

I win the 10K predictions! All 3 medals.
After that disastrous mile, I thought Rupp did pretty well. The race was fairly quick, run in less-than-ideal conditions, unevenly paced and I think he ran his 3rd fastest time ever. All the Ethiopians and other east Africans were dropped very early in the race.
I'm guessing Rupp is probably on the downside of his career. Still a great 10k runner, but he would have had silver in this race 3 years ago.
Big thanks to AK/kamworor/tanui/karoki for making this a fun race to watch!!!!
A competitive 27:01 with a 54 last lap in a hot and humid 10k (to beat a 58min halfer) certainly nudges him towards GOAT status.
Looked like Rupp was banged up and had a rough go... I hope he'll give an interview to the brojos.
truedat, give it a rest. The Kenyans can't figure out a way to beat Farah, and the Ethiopians were pathetic. Mo's the best.

I think I've found the dumbest statement on LR ever unless you are paid by Mo's US fan club. You are comparing 1 lap, a fast lap, but one lap to the 2nd 1/2 of a 10K.
Friends4Ever wrote:
Did Mo and Galen shake hands at the end? Or even say a word to each other? Have they fallen out since the whole investigation?
No, Rupp fell to the ground and got medical help.
Hey rupp-certified saladbar:
You seem to know what is going on. Would you say this was a great performance for Rupp? Clearly he ran to the best of his ability and will likely continue to get worse at 10000m. 5th and not even close to a medal is probably the best you could ask of him. What do you think?

No it doesn't. He did none of the work. Just more sitting and waiting.

Exactly.
Before the race, pundits said 62-63 laps would be needed to burn off Farah, but 64 wouldn't do it.
Then, the Kenyan train runs steady 65-66 laps.
Pundits state it was a hard-run race.
Huh?
I'm sorry: you're either ignorant or stupid or both. The purpose of any racing is to win. The purpose of the WC is absolutely to win. This is an individual competition. Farah owes nothing to the Kenyans. He just ran 27:01 in 66 dew point. Whatever in the world you mean by "honest," it has nothing to do with racing. The Kenyans thought the best way for one of them to win was to run together and share the lead as best they could. Was that "honest"? And as for Rupp, he ran a very good race, and fifth is nothing at which to sneeze.

He's racing a bunch of guys that can barely if at all run under 27:00 for 10k. And sitting on them. There is nothing honest about that.
