Well I'm shocked and stunned. I could have sworn that I heard from a reputable source that drugs don't help anyone with east african genetics. I thought they were better because of the altitude / dirt roads / unshod feet / poverty. Drugs are supposed to be ineffective if not a hindrance to their superiority.
Great post!!!

Coincidence doesn't imply causality. It is possible that it didn't help her, physically, but that she believed she would do better so she worked harder. However, none of that matters, since the rule is doping is illegal, and she broke the rule.
Ha! Kara only got it because of a week field, so what's the difference?

that's weak, but we know what you meant.
While Kara was being coached by NOP....GO FIGURE.....
hahaha, the only way she doesnt win is if she FALLS, and even then she would still probably win.

Going to get sick when another Didoperr sister wins the 1500 in Beijing by 7 seconds... But nope nope, we can't suspect anything...
If dibaba doesnt win this year are you going to automatically call the winner a doper?
During and after my tenure as secretary-general of the U.N., I closely followed athletics. I'm pleased for Kara after all she has been through over the years.

This is a really odd post.
If Kara Goucher is moved up to Silver will Nike have to pay her any bonus she would have received at the time?

The article does say that Pavey will be upgraded "to at least a bronze". Goucher is not out of the woods. If Goucher was doping back then under Salazar (and, she probably was....) then these stories just took on a huge new dimension.
Why make such a drama and snitch when she was on the program herself? She'd likely have to sacrifice her own accomplishments to nail Salazar. Few have reached that level of resentment. I can name Floyd Landis. Who else?
Yes, but she pr'd in Beijing a year later and was 10th!!!! So, what's next...did she have 9 dopers in front of her in 2008, she's 100% clean, and now a gold medalist there too? What a freaking joke!

I don't know whether we can believe her story about why she came forward, but it's not entirely impossible that she just decided that enough was enough. It could also be, though, that she knew this was coming and has tried to get out ahead of it by appearing to be a force for good. Seppelt has been on this story for a while. Andreu and Hamilton spilled the beans, in part, to avoid federal prosecution by being stoolies. (In part, too, though they wanted to screw Armstrong.... maybe Goucher wants to screw Salazar because he wanted to screw her).
In any case, we'll see. I hope.....

This is the ONLY reason for all the drug hysteria nonsense.
Kara was just as doped if not more.
The Dibaba sisters are a pharmacy. Nobody dopes more than the Didopers.
R U serious? Please tell me you're not?
