He'll never be as much of a drunk as Pre no matter how hard he tries.
I don't think he's trying too hard to be like Pre when Pre never won a global medal, while Symmonds won silver 2 years ago. Ya Pre was awesome in his day, but he never made a sacrifice like Symmonds just did. Nick is standing up for his and everyone's rights as athletes, while Pre said a bunch of things that are now inspirational running quotes haha. Don't compare the two; Pre was a talent in the 70s, while Nick is a WC medalist who is more than just an athlete - he's doing something to better the sport, while Pre only did things to better himself.
People who are ignorant will hate USATF even if you provide facts. At this point Nick Symmonds could say the uniforms are orange and green and all the minions who want to fight USATF will agree. Even when you show them the red or blue uniform.
I've tried to read all articles with an open mind. Even the comments that follow. I read the recent article (followed by predictable bashing) from Alan Abrahamson and then scratched my head. I thought Nick had a pretty good case but now I am not so sure.
I want to trust that my sport has the athletes in their best interest. And I will not be swayed by rhetoric. This morning I woke still frustrated that Nick wouldn't be running, now I feel like he is crying over spilled milk . . . that he spilled.
I hope Nick and other athletes show up in Houston to the annual meeting where it sounds like things can actually get accomplished. I applaud Nick for starting the dialog, but I do not think he is the answer to getting results. He's too self-interested. All he really wants is the attention and the credit.

You wouldn't get a 100 yards without a Nike lawyer slapping an injunction on you.
Do you think Pre should be the only T & F athlete to expose corruption within AAU and now USATF? He's not trying to be Pre, he is being Nick. Love him or hate him he is taking a public stand, not grousing behind closed doors. He has people talking. Go, Nick!
Pre was a drunk. A dead drunk.

You are entitled to your opinion. I respect that and you've made my point.
