It's been a crazy year. Miehe should have been their #9 at best and he is #5. What we've seen is likely what we'll get. Hirsch did start the race but was in last or close to it at 3K and dropped out. Even three of the true freshmen have been hurt -- Hacker, Nameth, Eidenschink. It's totally nuts. They could sure use DeHaven.
The women had planned to run Sarah Disanza (she's good), Molly Hanson (20th at this meet last year, two-time 1500 finalist) and true freshman Amy Davis (10:27, FL finalist), but Hanson came down with a minor injury about ten days before the meet. It was going to be a meet day decision on who would run, but then Hanson was declared out for the season a couple of days before the race, so they pulled Disanza and Davis. Hanson is a senior for cross, indoor and outdoor, but has a redshirt available for all three. Disanza is a junior for cross, but has a redshirt available. She has sophomore eligibility for both indoor and outdoor.
