WTH was that by Kiprop?!

KIPROP!!!!!!!!
Wow that is the most ridiculous race I've ever seen someone run. He leads, gets cut off by Blakenship and basically jogs and goes to the back. Then easily goes to the front. Blankenship cuts him off again. Then he easily kicks to the front and celebrates the last 20m, clearly not even trying
First to last to first... What an odd race, maybe testing himself to see if we can win no matter what happens?
He basically just ran an easy fartlek for a mile...
kiprop just playin'

Agreed. Made John Ngugi look like a sensible tactician!

Perhaps. He also made a move to keep with the pacers in that second lap. Looked like he was going with the pacers, but then decided to drop back. Thought he was going to drop from the field...
Kiprop just toyed with the field. Too bad that he wanted to play mental games with Souleiman and the others, because this kind of shape is rare. At one point he actually sprinted up to the pacers and then immediately dropped back to jogging and let the whole field go by him when Souleiman bumped him. He's just completely different in class than the remainder of the field. He'll still have Kiplagat to contend with, though.
Kiprop showing he is truly on another planet of talent from Centrowitz.
He got knocked to the infield, slowed almost to a walk, went to the back and still won comfortably. He could start with a 20 meter deficit and beat Centrowitz. Literally, in a time trial he could do this.
Watching the video, he is 10 meters back with 420 to go, and at the front with 390 to go, running around the whole field.
Man among boys.

With 100 to go Cherono had the better sprint to the finish and Molly slowed to a jog as she reached the line.
Classic American quitting.
Has she been taking notes from NOP?
While Kiprop is clearly much the best in the world and by quite a bit, his best shot is still running from the front.
If he doinks around in mid or back pack, he runs the risk of a fluke. He went all the ay to the back, then, LET Blankenship cover him up with like 180 to go or so?
Then he circles again and wins going away. Do not confuse what I am saying with the fact that he probably will and can win any kind of race, just why bother and out yourself in a position to get tripped or fall down or get pipped on a fluke.
He won't be trying these sort of games with Silas, I assure you. If ever there's a serious rivalry amongst Kenyan runners it's with these two.

Ingebrigtsen stepped on Kiprop´s heel.
Not to name names, but Dibaba's last 800 in her Monaco 1500 was faster than a couple of ladies (one the USATF runner up) ran in the London 800.

Sum crushed that 800 field. I was somehow wondering with 100 to go if Hassan could challeng her. No way.
Subpar from from Brenda but this was her first race since USAs.
I wish Jager was in this steeple.
More like faster than ALL but Sum and maybe Hassan and Sharpe.

It's obvious you didn't watch it. I didn't say it was a fast race.
Huddle had a huge lead until Cherono tracked her down and caught her with 300 to go. Cherono went past her at 200 and Molly held on. With 100 to go Cherono had the better sprint to the finish and Molly slowed to a jog as she reached the line.
Yeah I wasn't here to see it either. Finally someone on the thread can post a description - rather than patting each other on your backsides for being privy to your own little worlds.
