Why don't the Ethiopians and Kenyans make Worlds an honest race and see what happens?

Why don't Somalis?
scared of fading and not winning, that they would rather sit and kick and not win.
In the modern era, championship racing comes down to tactics 90% of the time. This is because athletes think that it is more impressive to win a 1500 in 3:45 with a 51 second last lap rather than place 3rd with a 3:31, and run a 55 second last lap. It's purely idiotic.
Sit and kick has nothing to do with "modern" era. It is a dumb tactic that will die of soon. Jager and Dibaba are doing real racing--no "modern" era. The distance boys are too dumb to see the light yet.
Sit and kick races have been around in every era, including the Ancient Olympics and Isthmian Games, and in other sports such as horses and cycling. That's just how racing often works, enjoy it.

You are right. In addition Farah only has two more Olympic gold medals than Solinski and two more world championships. They are essentially equals as racers!

Wrong. You're a millennial--that much is obvious. Racing is racing. Siting and kicking is not racing.

-really? Tell that to Walker in Montreal with 300m to go. Tell that to Coe in Moscow over that last 150m. Tell that to Wottle. Tell that to Ryun. Hopefully, you get the point. Is it possible that you haven't done much actual championship type racing? I think you'd have a different perspective otherwise.
YAWN!!!!!
Sit and kicks get the young track "fans" so, so excited. It's all they have to live for.
Who is Chris Solinsky? What has he done and why should I care? Why is he in the same sentence as Mo?

3 more World Championship golds actually ... 5K in 2011 to go along with double gold in 2013.
If you are a guy who knows he can run 12:48 from the front, who also knows that Mo can sit on your ass at that pace and also has run 3:28 (twice) to your 3:33, then you are effectively racing for silver, and the way to get that is NOT to take the lead against the other 12:4x/12:5x guys. Look at what Kamworor tried to do at Pre. Do you think he was hoping to outkick Farah? Hell no, he was racing the other guy (and still came up short).
Until another 12:3x guy comes along, get used to Farah winning by taking the lead at the bell.Every time.

You could make the list much longer:
Viren
Yifter
Schul
Geb
etc etc etc
i HAVE MADE AS MANY OLYMPIC TEAMS AS CHRIS SOLINSKY.
Caroline wins more matches on tour than Serena Williams.
Mo casually talking to Galen at Worlds: "Hey Galen, I know Coach wants me to sit and kick to win gold, but instead, I think I'm going to go out fast and try to lead wire to wire because some anonymous guy on letsrun wants to see a faster race."
Galen: "Sounds like a good plan. Yeah, I've been thinking too that we've wasted all our talent on those cheesey medals in London. We should do more to try to impress the letsrun crowd in basements across the U.S."

Trying to run away from your opponents is a tactic. Sitting and kicking is a tactic. Mid race surging is a tactic. 100% of races come down to tactics.

I am fairly confident no one uses a sit and kick strategy because they think it's more impressive. Instead, they think it's the strategy that gives them the best chance of winning, either because they think they have a stronger kick than their competitors, they know they can't run away from their competitors, or they don't want to serve as the de facto rabbit for their competitors.

Ad hominem attacks, must be a letsrunner.
You'd think with all of your age and wisdom you'd know better than to try to prove your point through petty attacks.
