That won't be my reaction when Alberto and his boys get smacked with the banhammer. Only one thing on the track would make me happier than seeing the fat Bekele get his gold medal, and that would be for Leo to get his.

Everyone who runs for a suspect coach is suspect. Deal with it. I don't hope everyone fails. Just the NOP. I can't stand any of them, or their defenders.

And don't forget, Dibaba is a recent 14:15 5000 runner. She is very strong and fit. Rowbury never ran with that ability and she was capable of running 3:56 today. Simpson by comparison has only been a 14:56 5000 runner and yet she peeled off a season's best at 3:57.3. Why is is so incredible to see a 14:15 5000m runner who has demonstrated 3:54 capability at 1500, to be able to run it faster? Different worlds talent wise. Dibaba doesn't run the 1500 often enough to have a solid gauge on her capabilities. Get Real!!

Someone should make a video compilation of athletes looking barely tired after demolishing the competition (Mack-Daddy, Farah, the girl today, ect). I'm surprised these athletes don't at least pretend to be out of breath.

This logic makes no sense anyway... She is not the first to be jumping up and down after breaking a world record on the track.

Ok fine, sure but that is always the case with Simpson and Rowbury and Simpson has beaten Rowbury the last I don't know how many times. I also find this race strategy of Rowbury's annoying but that's not the point. I'm wondering if Simpson has run slower down the stretch the last two races and if so, why? It may just be because they are putting in another training block before World's and she isn't as sharp. But I'm still curious as it is uncharacteristic for her to have a weaker last 50 than Rowbury.

Dude that picture of Dibaba is clearly from 2014 world indoors (in Sopot, Poland) when she won a tactical race. Not from a world record performance. Being this jaded without evidence and manipulating information like this makes track less fun. This kind of crap is my biggest problem with this message board.

Good grief, drugs or not I don't understand how people finish a PR race and then immediately jump around in excitement. I'm on the ground or about to pass out with my hands on my knees thinking "ow, why I'm still in such excruciating pain?" for about 45sec.

I had a few good races in college. The really good races always felt easy and I had plenty of energy after the PRs that won conference or got me to NCAAs. It was the bad races that seemed to feel like crap afterwards.

You must be slow. You probably almost die after every effort.

Looking at least moderately composed after a world record is a brand new phenomenon apparent only in dopers.... I can't remember seeing a world record where the athlete didn't look fresh afterward.

All of my best races felt invincible. Felt like I could take 90s rest then go do it again. This is common. When you're on you're on.

Simpson led the 2nd pack most of the way. Rowbury ran a smart race drafting, now she has the American record. Simpson may have been better of drafting Hassan if she could, but that was a really quick race.

The Chinese times are bogus, since their whole team could never run time close to that in any location that could drug test.

Uh , hello, its a world record, usually not a close race. Everybody ran fast in the field. I think most are elated to see the new record and singular effort that usually comes with it.
