maybe their stuff doesn't work on canadian sprinters, but the fact that she was on a national champion 4x400m team at Oregon shows that it works on others.

She doubled numerous times at meets with no significance.
She needed to get out of that looney bin and get treated like a thoroughbred to see what she can do.
https://www.tfrrs.org/athletes/5107499/Mississippi/Brooke_Feldmeier.htmlNot saying you're wrong, but she seemed to do really well there. And the 800 she ran 2:03. So not sure why running 800's are a bad thing as it appears to be her best distance. She probably didn't have the times to get $ from Oregon out of HS?
800 is her distance, she just didn't need to run 20 of them before nationals. She would have fared better at nationals with about half that number.

So College runners shouldn't run college seasons? And save themselves for nationals?
Is that so? wrote:

No college runners should run as many races as they can, double or triple every weekend, race as many times as possible, and leave serious championship racing to those who don't think being champion at weekly all comers meets is a very big deal.
You really don't know what the hell you're talking about. I live in Oxford and this kid is garbage. A whiney little brat. Running that many relays should not have hurt this kid who came out of high school as multi athlete. As a matter of fact she ran the least of all the girls on the team. Whenever she had to do something out of her comfort zone she was whiney. Get your facts straight before you spout what you don't know. Wow...

So you live in Oxford? The capital of track champions? Where no track or cross country team has ever won anything? And you are lecturing us on how to optimize training and track performance? Feldmeier gave a glimmer of legitimacy to one of the worst programs in the history of track and then woke up to the fact that no one will ever be successful doing anything coming from Ole Miss. . . Unless ESPN92 decides to replace bass fishing with this:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6KPvZWLiwDgAnd you my friend are still an idiot. I have the right to my opinion about Feldmeier being a whiny little brat. Why are so angry about my option? Why are you defending this person so much? Are you her mom or dad? I'm so amused by your ability pull up drunken college students on youtube. It doesn't change the fact that she is garbage as an athlete.
Sometimes when you have trained at a high level at a young age, at the next level, your improvement has to mainly come from physical development. The last time I saw her, at age 17 or 18, she looked like a college athlete. Hopefully she can contribute to Oregon, but I hope she's comfortable being a role player; Oregon gets 11.6 sprinters out of H.S., and Hannah is the age of a junior.

speaking of idiots, how about an anonymous slug slandering the best track athlete at Ole Piss. . . nice job tough guy
time to replace your tampon
"Cunliffe" . . . hehe . . .
You keep referring to her as the best athlete without knowing what really happened there. Go away with your grandiose thinking of weak Feldmeier.

throw in her anchor on the 4 X 4 and she scores half of Ole Piss's points
No wonder she needed to get out of that weak, loser program
Last two 4x400 relays she was on....she had one of the slower splits. Kid can't turn over. She won state titles in a lower division in Washington. Just a hyped up athlete to make the school look good when all actuality she's very average.

Feldmeier ran 54 seconds in high school for 400 meters. 2:03 was a pretty good time for a freshman, especially having come into the season injured. Was recruited by Oregon out of high school. So this is not a big surprise. She was treated like a star at Ole Miss because she was the only thing going on that women's team.

Same with Feldmeier....grass greener on the other side. Kid is not a team player and pouts when she is not treated as the star. She does not play well with others. Appears to be afraid of a challenge and when she does bad her already low self esteem takes another hit.
Maury you have been outed. I think you are Craig Engels.
Time will tell. Let's see what she does at Oregon. She ran at NCAA's and got dusted. She ran at Junior trials and got beat by a bunch of high schoolers. Kid CANNOT turn over. She runs a good race when the pace is slow But when Rogers put the hammer down the only ones to keep up were the high schoolers.
That's not fast for high school. I say again she was in a lower division without any competition.
I have to add that I agree. She's really slow and can't turn over. But we shall see how she fares with Rogers at Oregon. Rogers is a true 800 meter runner with speed.

of course she will be better at oregon, she would be better at alaska fairbanks outdoors in january than ole miss
she would be better anywhere she didn't get over raced like at the mississippi dumpster fire; rogers didn't break 2:05 this year until her conference meet in mid may, oregon peaked her smartly
https://www.tfrrs.org/athletes/5113694.htmlby june Feldmeier had nothing in the tank. she raced virtually every weekend from January through june. ducks won't do that and she will thrive
if she can run 2:03 in her first year at the 800, with no training partners and morons coaching her, she will run under 2:00 next year at oregon
btw, no one "kept up with rogers" when she put the hammer down at ncaas or juniors

This means that she would have run faster in high school if she had better competition? She is going to be a big name at Oregon. She will be taught a better perspective on the sport. And, consequently, her ability to concentrate the entire two laps (and not just wake up the last 300) of the race will transform her from your "whiny' runner to a true 800m runner.
