I knew from the second that I saw her...that I wanted to marry her.
Before I even heard her voice.
She worked in the drive through at Wendy's
I had actually just got done with a road race and wanted a burger..
I was so smitten by her, that I drove around again and acted like that I forgot a straw.
Then I drove around acting like I forgot ketchup.
Then salt
I told her on our first date that I was going to marry her.
She looked a little taken aback by that but I quickly re-assured her
"You'll never regret it"
I was 41, she was 35.
The day we got married was THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE.
I was so sure, I ran a road race the morning that we got married..
Overjoyed, couldn't wait...
It was a fantastic 11 years and 11 months...
EVERYDAY GOT BETTER....
She was diagnosed with glioblastoma 8/09
I took her to MD Anderson in Houston on a plane every 6 weeks for the first 2 and half years.
Died 1/15/14
It was THE GREATEST 11 YEARS AND 11 MONTHS OF MY LIFE.
