Well, I am old and sentimental, but I have to tell you, I am weeping. That was going to be quite a moment.
Whatever. Jager's going to break 8:00 and he's going to be a WC silver medalist at worst. -
That was amaaaaaaaaaazing by Jager, he looked so composed, and then, "oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!", but wait, he got up and still finished in eight minutes!
I feel for him so much, but hey, this is the steeple and that whole run including the fall was pure badass!
This is what athletics is about. -
We (and they) have never needed to.

Dreadful pacing in that women's 800 super fast.. slows to a crawl and then sprints again..
-
Keep giving updates!! can't get the stream to work

Sum 1:56.99
She is unreal. -
Sum 1:56.99, Ludlow 4th in 1:58.68 despite cratering with 50 to go

I try to keep from posting nowadays on account of how toxic this board has become, but just had to step in to say how utterly CRUSHED I am for Evan Jager. That is no way to lose a race. He'd completely destroyed the best in the world and deserved the win. Hope he wins the gold at the worlds.
+1 I was flipping out the entire last few laps where he took over. Getting over the barriers is part of the game but to be so close really was so crushing to watch. But after this...he really could take the Gold -
That was an amazing effort. new respect for him. a real athlete to get up and finish so fast.

And price 5th in a pb 1:59.1

How do you cancel Rajangan?? Anyone? I cannot find my way back to the page.

Sucks so bad right now thinking he would win until the last 40. Jager FTW @ worlds like a rocking boss. Especially tough cause usually he gets over the hurdles so easy. Can hear run his next DL on pure hate? Go Evan that was awesome regardless. New AR!

After five straight years of running in the 1:59s, Ludlow finally gets 1:58. Great for her.

Incredible. Jager. I was telling my wife that he was about to win the race and all he has to do is clear the last hurdle...........He would have been 7:57-- at least. Bad video feed but the announcers kept talking about his leg collapsing due to the fatigue rather than his clipping the hurdle, as the reason for the fall. I don't know but that was damn inspiring. I loved the way the other competitor's rallied around him at the end.
Jager, Coburn, Centrowitz.......Looking good. -
Indeed, these times are QUICK. Hope that continues for the 1500m and women's 5k
