hockey fans should relax, grab an ice cream sandwich, and read about the draft on the web.

Curtis Beach is blatantly pacesetting.
Here's one of many topics on the matter. Just funny to see when you read the opposite perspective on Letsrun.
Oh God, Craig Masback.... Bitchin about how hot it is. About 75 degrees in Des Moines today. I counted about 8 people in the stands during the decathlon discus highlights. Go Track Town USA! Yeah, the trials will be packed next year but to all the whiners about other sites hosting this meet, your complaints seem to be unfounded.
I can't beleive how slow this looks. what are the splits?
How many dopers in the USATF promo Your Welcome commercial? Reciprocal that question to simplify. None of the other sports care if track is the base for all sport.
Sad to hear that Alexa Efraimson didn't move onto the 1500 finals. I'm always rooting for her, especially after her 4:03, but there is always time in the future for her. It's crazy she's still technically a HS athlete.
Hope to see Cain do well in the final (or semis?), although I think just making it would be a good thing for her at this point. Hope she comes back strong next year.
The HJ winner (forget his name) almost made the AR jump of 2.41.
I'm a hockey fan and followed the draft closely and let me tell you hockey fans were pretty outraged that track and field interrupted the end of the draft coverage. They couldn't believe that non-Olympic track and field was even being televised. It's funny to see how both sets of fans are equally incredulous and demanding that their sport be favored.
To back to Canada you Canadian!!!
Kynard... Burger King lcrown wearing punked other jumpers a few years ago with some crappy sportsmanship at this meet or the NCAA's can't remember which. He better clear that height to have a sniff at a medal in Bejing.
So Oregon's Jasmine Todd - who was just 10th at NCAAs and dind't make the final - finished 2nd in the final. Crazy.
The NCAA champ Prandini - didn't make the team.
And everyone's favorite runner - Carmelita Jeter went down in agony.
Here is a recap of both the men's and womens races.
They ever gonna show the 100M finals here on the stream? Did I just miss it or something?
Merrit not running in the final is good for the sport and the fans watching or paying big dollars to get to the meet and in the gate. I hope he is a man of his word. Seems like a happy go lucky guy.

You missed it.
How did Gatlin qualify for the 100 already for the WC without running the final at USA's? What did I miss?

NBC bought the rights to it for NBCSN. No way they will let it be shown online other than on an NBC related website. You may see it tomorrow or something online but likely not tonight.

Damn it. I guess I'll just watch the recap online. Was it worth watching? Also, was it on the stream?

Ah, I see I missed it since it was on TV and not the stream. If Gatlin wasn't in the finals, I guess it's probably not worth watching that much. Gay win, I assume? Trayvon looked good in the heats earlier, so maybe him.
Anyways, didn't Gatlin get to go to Worlds since he won the Diamond League for the 100M last year? Kinda like Jenny Simpson in the 1,500M.
What other events are tonight? 800 semi's. Right?

Most of the favorites not in their event at US champs have a buy into World champs because they are the defending World Champion or Diamond League Champion. This is the case with Gatlin.

No all the NBC broadcast videos make it onto usatf.tv. For example, the Bowerman Mile and all of the other Prefontaine classic events shown during the NBC broadcast are on there.
