fvck me that was some good stuff by estien
Game. Set. Match.
Alberto takes it in straight sets. Those poor turds making accusations should have spent more time developing their brains in school and less time running in circles.
The only thing Salazar gets in straight sets is a trip to jail. Skinny men with anger management issues who think they are king will be made compliant in no time in a prison.
After reading that statement there's one thing I do know, I wouldn't want my kids being coached by Salazar and subjected to all that medication, legal or otherwise. No wonder Mary Cain baled.

TL:DR for LRCers --
Magness's termination from NOP was mutual, letter posted online at:

FWIW, Epstein is not just an ace reporter, he's also the author of the critically acclaimed book, "The Sports Gene," and a former DI 800m guy himself, as he details here:
(And of course, he's a longtime LRC lurker.)
I have deeply divided feelings about Salazar, but I'm definitely pro-Epstein.

I have basically stayed out of this as I suspected it was a witch hunt. Alberto seems to have explained just about everything and included references and back up documents. As a lawyer, I find his explanation credible.
I have been coming on letsrun for over ten years now. I am not on the message boards much because I am a grown man and most of the stuff is completely asinine. I am a big track fan and this is a good site to find out information, links etc. I have noticed the amping up of drug accusations over the years on the site and the slide toward smearing NOP.
I think the Brojos have shit the bed on this one. I don't know why any first rate pro-runner would trust them with anything after this bullshit.

Enter today. The Salazar piece embarrasses (as it should) Magness. It embarrasses others with documented proof most were lying or were idiots. It embarrasses the hell out of the Brojos. Dudes, you should be covering your faces in shame for the way you have been treating this whole story. Maybe you should all go work for Tabloid publications, because when it comes to PED's that is exactly what you are!
This so called response is terrible. It is weak, desperate, and offers nothing of substance.

I hear what you are saying. This just may not be Epstein's best work. For example, The mutual termination letter is quite routine when ending an employment contract early. Magness and the Gouchers did lose some credibility today. They may be sincere but they may also could have been well served by some more rigorous questioning up front. He also needs more people to come out in the record that they saw something. USADA may come up with something. Ken Goe did a good breakdown of what Alberto left unanswered

I agree Epstein's response is embarrassing. I'd seriously recommend he start from scratch and redo it.
Salazar responded to a host of criticism, not a litigated Epstein article alone. Salazar clearly suggested he was giving the necessary facts as they occurred, irrespective of which specific claims they oppose.

Bullshit, you s*** piece of spinshit.
Iupg is ONLY applicable for state vs citizen and actually a great achievement of civilization.
That this gets dragged into the muddy waters of PR and spin doctoring irks my like crazy.
And something else:
Everybody who uses "Oregon Project" in their posts is paid by Nike. Following the party line much?
> ProPublica and the BBC also reported a claim by John Stiner, a *masseuse*
The plot thickens. Gender-changing massage therapists? Which gel does that?

Nope. Doping is not a crime. The doping might not get a sanction either.
Al Salazar runs a program right. Good attention to detail. That and Nike sponsor dollars.

So Alberto bought the Gatlin story?

I've heard a couple people make this comment/question, but i don't remember Alberto's statement declaring that he believed it to be 100% true. But as I understand it their is some question of character of the therapist, Chris Whetstine, and then Whetstine comes up an rubs Rupps shoulders after a race. Even if you believe that there is a 98% that Gatlin was guilty, if you are Alberto or Galen, do you really want to take a 2% chance on this given the potential consequences? I read his statement to show that it caused them to be fearful of the possibility, whether from Whetstine or anyone else.
If you are not an elite athlete, this might sound like wild paranoia, but I have spoken with Olympians and World Champs members who talk the same way about protecting their water bottles etc. for fear of something being put in them.
There has to be software like this out there already.

Take that LR Beetches. End of story. There is no evidence to the contrary. Magness is done in this industry. If you're going to kill the king- you better kill the king!
I think you may be confused about who is "done in this industry". Of course, you write like you work for Salazar, so I can't blame you.
The king, by his own admission, is sick. By most people's opinion who are sincerely involved in the sport (and not names Seb Coe or Vin Lananna), he should be removed from the sport and rehabilitated. This cycle has repeated itself from the most simple to most complex human societies. He's using testosterone that he has for his bad heart on his own sons (but not on his preferred son who he massages). His balls don't work right. He's spending his days furiously and bitterly defending hundreds of projectile accusations hurled at his castle. His people are suffering.
Glad you brought up the king analogy. He is blossoming into the perfect evil, sick king dying on his throne, madly rubbing testosterone onto himself and his sons in a vain attempt to warm his ravaged heart. Reads pretty much like a fairy tale.

1. Magness's termination letter was a standard form; a gift from Salazar so as Coach Creeper Magness wouldn't have a termination on his employment record from Nike, so that he could get a second chance somewhere else. (Duh, within moments of Magness's leaving NOP hitting the boards here, it was reported he was asked to leave because of his creeper horn dogging of Areson). No Mystery Ever On That."
2. Associated Press is finally writing an article on something already known 21 days ago. USADA investigates ALL reports.
3. Read the full Ass Press article and comment on that.

Epstein isn\'t Jesus, doesn\'t walk on water, and is not beyond a rush to judgement, while trying to pile on something the BBC had conned him into thinking had real evidence.
Epstein effed up.
