Bumbalough is hurt- as is Ciaran...as is hasay...get the point?
Andy Bayer isn't competitive in flat events- how many high class "flat events" has he run in the last 18 months? Does performance in a "flat event" mean more than a steeplechase if that's what your focus is?
Elliott Heath has barely run- point taken
Fernandez is a disappointment- was also before joining group
Webb did nothing in that group- did nothing in ANY group but Razco
Solinsky is done- have you seen a surgically attached hamstring before? Gnarly.
Derrick is hurt- bad Achilles. Chronic injury since college. Wear and tear happens. Did you see his 3peat natl champ xc run?
Lomong is burnt out- whaaaat? Hardly.
Huling hasn't PR'd in the steeple since joining the group- 8.14 in extreme heat? That counts for nothing? Much more consistent than pre-btc.
Teg is burnt out- again, what? Where do you get this? He's old, dude. Old. Eventually everyone runs out of juice.
Ryan Hill and Evan Jager are running well but it's likely neither of them could make an outdoor World team at 1500 or 5k. Egg on your face there after a 3.32 and home straight 5k destruction, right?
All that being said, Jenkins is NOT a good fit for btc. He's a prick. Plain and simple. Nothing down to earth about him by any stretch of the imagination, and I'm a true blue Oregon fan/alum.
