This article by Matt Lawton proves why you don't believe or should read anything by the British Press: they embellish, lie, don't fact check, and could care less about journalistic integrity.
Really, the "JoBros"? Really? Where did Matt Lawton get this from? "Let's Run
and not "Letsrun.com"?
I doubt he even visited Salazar's house. Pure rubbish. It's like reading something from someone that wants so badly to be in the club, to really understand what's going on. Lawton probably didn't know who Salazar, Rupp, and Farah were before being given this assignment.
Go home, Lawton, go home.
Oh wow, lets totally disregard anything Matt Lawton writes because he called the Johnson twins the "JoBros". However did he become the current UK Press Awards Sports Journalist of the Year - "The judges said the winner had an outstanding year. He produced three fantastic and thoughtfully written exclusives."

I don't think he did either, he just made this up, pure fantasy:
"It is an impressive house in the West Hills area of Portland; one of the more salubrious neighbourhoods of a smart city.
With the gate unlocked it was easy to climb the steps that lead to the front door and press the doorbell. Somebody even heard it ring — Salazar’s wife, Molly, answering within a few seconds.
Her husband was not in, she said. He was walking the dog. But she politely informed me that it was no use waiting because he had nothing to say.
Two minutes later, however, Salazar had pulled up outside in his car. A rather sporty Jaguar XF, boasting a rather large dog on the back seat. A Rottweiler.
While his grown-up daughter led the beast into the house, Salazar remained in the car, refusing to speak even though his window was down. He held up a hand as if to say back off, turned the car around and drove away."
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-3132913/Alberto-Salazar-silent-doping-allegations-leaving-Mo-Farah-angry-did-coach-Sportsmail-tracked-Portland.htmlThis is a pretty scummy article that adds nothing at all to the discussion around Salazar and doping.
The author works hard to make Salazar look sketchy for being startled by reporters who admittedly hopped the fence standing in his yard. Salazar could be the guiltiest of guilty, but being annoyed at someone on his property shows nothing.
And, whether Salazar is guilty or not, I'm sure he did the right thing for his athletes -- clear or not -- by not physically being at any of the meets. It would be a media circus.
Likewise, including Rupp's post-meet workouts -- again -- adds nothing. It really is just speculation.
I laughed at them getting JoBros wrong, as well as calling the site "Lets Run".
Getting the facts wrong about Steve Magness being an elite college miler is also funny. I thought that, perhaps, he was confused because the British high school system is slightly different from the American one, and sometimes they even call high schools "college," but I doubt that. More likely it\'s poor research.
Given all that has come out about NOP from ProPublica, the BBC, and the DailyMail, as well as what I've heard from people by being around the sport, I'm as skeptical as anyone about Salazar and his practices.
But this article is garbage. It really is tabloid non-sense. And -- fairly -- I think it should make people question even more critically anything that comes from the Daily Mail that has any hint of spin on it.

This was my favorite part. Lawton said Magness was one of the greatest collegiate milers of all time!
It doesn't matter how many awards Lawton has won, this is shoddy journalism at its worst.

Believe me when I say that no one -- NO ONE -- has done more for American distance running than Alberto Salazar. Period.
I can think of some. Let's start with the only mainstream name even non track fans know... PRE
At the end of the day, Alberto is a class act, through and through. Those who are accusing him of these falsehoods -- not so much.
I've met Alberto on multiple occasions, and can tell you firsthand that he believes in a clean sport. This isn't up for debate. Read Alberto's statement if you must.
Do you think it's a coincidence that those accusing him of these made-up allegations are all disgruntled former Nike employees? Naturally, they had nothing but positive things to say when they were getting better paid by Nike. When they got dropped, they decided to make up these gross allegations. Shame on them.
For the record, Galen's parents stand by Alberto, and that ought to count for something as well. Do you really think they would have let him give their son steroids? Of course not.
The misinformation on this board disgusts me.
Good on Lawton for trying to get some answers from Salazar and Nike, their athletes deserve some answers be given out to take the heat and innuendo off of them. It's been nearly eight weeks now since Salazar and Nike were contacted about the upcoming article and TV show but nothing. Al hides, Nike is silent and their athletes and us want answers, the more cowards Al and Nike are harassed the better, good for it Lawton.

Class acts don't hide if they've got nothing to hide, they reveal all and protect their athletes, so does their employer, especially when that employer is one of the richest and well resourced organisations in sport. To date neither have shown themselves to be class acts in this saga.
Amen, fellow Duck. Keep on quacking.
As a great man once said, "They hate us cuz they ain't us."
Pure jealousy.
It's refreshing to see someone write a post based on facts instead of the typical LRC rumermongering.

How far do you want to go back? The idea that 17 people have got together and concocted a story (let alone gone to WADA) with their concerns is nuts. If Salazar and co. were innocent they'd have published their medical records the next day and sent out a firm message, they are scraping around for excuses.
An alleged 17 people.
The ones we know about include people like the Gouchers who were both on thyroid meds just like Rupp and say Salazar suggested we take this legal medicine here (he said I needed to lose baby, gasp):

Of and then there is Magness: the guy who coaches the wife of Hall who is on thyroid meds and who was a coach to Lance Armstrong.
What did Salazar/Rupp do that these people weren't doing, and didn't choose to work under Salazar because he did them?
This is the Lance Armstrong story all over again, with the naysayers holding on dearly to their personal beliefs. I said weeks ago that AlSal is a crazy Cubano whom I've known going back to Wayland, MA high school days. Agreed, it's his father's fault as he (a native Cuban of the scholar class) was part of the Bay of Pigs invasion force that was hoodwinked by the CIA and remains angry and bitter and took it out on his sons. BroHos will probably take this down again, but AlSal said it himself.
Agreed, that the Michael Moore attack journalism at someone's home is just so cheesy and rude, but he's English and their newspapers do this shit all the time, witness the recent conviction of "journalists" tapping phones of celebs over there.

needed to lose the "fat from having her baby" that is.
Boohoo, coach called me fat:

What exactly is he supposed to be showing?
Salazar has dedicated his life to athletics, and he has no obligation to talk to dummies.
That BBC documentary was a waste of my time. Pure garbage. There was nothing valuable in that piece. I know more from my connections in the industry than BBC does with their reporting.
The 17 people argument only gets you so far. Lots of others say they have no concerns. Why should we discount them? And What are the 17 people pointing at? Is it a Fleshman's asthma story, testoboost, thyroid, the. 'Galen wall of separation'? We don't know. Until we hear more, it is not that definitive. There are questions about androgel etc. and maybe the community should discuss meds generally. hall has a thyroid med. Teg had that procedure. That stuff seems like a UsADA questio decided by experts.. We could make thighs sound worse than they are.

LOL ... a NOP fanboy knows more about reporting than the #1 reporting firm in the world.
- NOP fanboy delusion runs deep.
