You're an idiot who knows nothing about running. Ever hear of bad conditions? Duh!

Newsflash: it's an OUTDOOR race. There are always weather conditions to be dealt with.
Now go away and leave the discussion to the big boys.
Haha

Hmm. I definitely thought everyone would be a lot more positive and encouraged by this than i am, apparently. He finished, and negative split it. Anyways, when will his next race be? Any interviews from him at this race?
If he truly ran a negative split 2:15, that would tend to indicate that he wasn't looking to run faster than that. Maybe he ran it as a confidence-booster, to get a solid marathon under his belt. So, if that is true, I agree - solid performance.
1:06:59 at the half; 2:15:27 at the finish--not a negative split.http://www.mtecresults.com/runner/show?rid=53&race=3106

Not trying to be a dick - but do the very elite marathoners run a 2:10 as a "confidence booster?"

So Bob Beamon's 29' 2 1/2" is just that?
Beamon jumped 8.90, not 29 feet and whatever.
idiots-morons
When was he last time someone that has posted on this thread run sub 2:15 for marathon.
Bunch of 34 min PR 10K now semi-joggers thinking they're cool.
Too late, you are a d*ck. You've got a 35 minute p.r., that's my guess. I've broken 30:00, so go away little boy.

Yeah and your IQ is 150 and you make $250,000 a year at your job. We know.
He is about 10 minutes faster now that he is free from the Salazar ignorance. Nice job Luke
What was the weather like on race day? I've heard the race conditions can get pretty hot and humid.
I was there. Weather was perfect, minor sprinkles here and there.
What are you doing for your dad today? I bet he has been a wonderful father to you. Did you once describe him as having a sense of humor like Steve Martin?

I have to agree. Luke Puskedra us what...25? He's got plenty of marathoning years ahead of him, and people are knocking a debut in which he posted an OT qualifying time.
What did you guys expect, 2:08? The marathon takes time to learn, and very few runners (even elites) knock it out of the park their first time out. 2:15 is a solid time, and it will only drop as he tweaks his approach to the distance.

Apparently, these novice marathoners did not need any "tweaking" to their marathon training:

If you knew that, then why did you post it dipsh*t? I bet your P.R. is 37 for 10,000, right? Barely skimming under 6 minute pace. Stupid handle by the way, very stupid, adsfasfdf? Duh!

Do you mean Luke Puskedra? How about writing out the name of the person the thread is about? Is that so difficult? He's clearly a lot better at the half than the marathon. Ritz did figure out the marathon once with the 2:07:47, though even that was arguably sub par for a 12:56/60 flat championship guy.
Most ldr's have better 1/2 m times than their marathon times.
I know several 1:04-1:05 guys who have trouble breaking 2:18

Um, ever heard of Zersenay Tadese?
This waz his debut?!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
