25 years old, looking to move from Boston to a warmer area of the country. Boston is obviously a horrendous city for anyone to live (high cost of living, 60% college students, awful traffic, ridiculous hometown "culture", etc.), so I'm looking for something that's pretty much the polar opposite of here.
Looking to move to a spot with the following qualities:
-Warm at least most of the year
-Affordable cost of living
-Decent running community (road races, places to run, etc.).
I work remotely full-time so I can go anywhere without worrying about landing a new job. Any suggestions?

If you don't mind a spot of rain then head west to Seattle.
-
If I had the freedom to go where I wanted, I'd try out the St George, Utah area. Maybe I'd hate it by time all was said and done, however the three times I've been there I liked it and it's a couple hours away from tons of cool outdoor adventures.

What is an approximate salary and what do you consider an affordable cost of living (housing, mostly). -
Leave the patriots & come to the Seahawks!
Seattle is the place to be.
-friendly community, weekly track & road races.
-Not gonna lie it rains a tad bit during the fall & winter. Spring & summer are perfect avg. 50°+.
-Neighboring communities near Seattle are highly affordable.
-They may call Oregon tracktown but to be honest they have nothing on WA. -
Scranton, Pa - just like Boston, without the crabs.
-
crabs?
which kind...the 2-legged, multi-legged or wee beastie variety? -
It rains more in Boston than Seattle
-
Look into Nashville.

You make it sound like leaving Boston is a huge step and that you don't have a job. Then just go somewhere. Go back home. And you're too young to worry about cold weather, high cost of living, traffic, townie ugliness. Admit it the hot babes are keeping you there, a never ending resupply. All right, all right, all right!

Sounds like Arkansas is a great place.

Chattanooga TN. Great municipal internet, too.

I am recommending very highly the Oblast in and nearing Simferople in Russian Crimea. We are having very nice weathers and many good jobs with much money and work coming into our region since he has given us back to the Russian Federation. And running is very good with the roads near where the people fuss with the nets in the mornings. Very good for us.

Flagstaff, AZ. Sweet mountain town with lots to do from a running/outdoor adventure standpoint. Grand Canyon is an hour away, Vegas is 3hours, LA is 6-7 hours if you want to visit for a weekend. Sedona is a really cool place and 40minutes down the mountain.
Living is relatively cheap (compared to Boston anyway). Pretty cool running culture/community even aside from the pros that visit there. Just a beautiful place scenery wise. Obviously a big step down from Boston as far as how much is there, but there's a nice downtown area and plenty of shopping/grocery/department stores around. It's not like out in the middle of nowhere with one grocery store for miles or something.
You mentioned the cold and Flagstaff does have a winter, but it is nothing compared to a Northeast winter. With the desert climate it gets warmer during the middle of the day and you have snow after it storms, but it generally melts pretty fast afterwards. It isn't the long never ending misery that a Boston winter is, Plus, you can drive an hour south or 2 hours to Phoenix if you want a break from the winter for a weekend or something. -
Seattle is great for running! Especially trails. But it is more than a spot of rain. It is relatively warm though like 9 months out of the year--at least compared to Boston. I really only ever considered January to be winter in Seattle.
Sounds like you have a great freaking job though so go to Colorado or Flagstaff.
