USC sprint sensation Andre De Grasse is getting some interesting phone calls congratulating him on his NCAA 100, 200 double win in Eugene last week. Two of the more interesting phone calls have come from Adidas and Nike. Both shoe companies are prepared to get into a major bidding war to sign the young Canadian. De Grasse is almost a cinch to leave USC and go pro this year. He is the hottest athlete in track and field right now. And De Grasse can make hundreds of thousands of dollars if he chooses to go pro right now. Nike is reportedly ready to offer De Grasse a contract in the vicinity of seven figures. This is great for the sport of track and field.
