Yes. And it's not even close.
I think Dendy gets the Bowerman. However, it's worth noting that De Grasse scored more points at the national meet since USC beat Florida in the 4x100 relay. He's got to be the top athlete for the men's meet.
Some douchebag qb from Florida State who likes crab legs. On, did you mean track and field athlete?
Omar McLeod should be on a short list. Dendy is a good choice.
Jenny P. from U of O!
Dendy is world ranked 3rd in the TJ and 4th in the LJ
Barber is world ranked 2nd in the PV
De Grassi is probably 2nd fastest in the world over 100m right now and perhaps the fastest over 200m.
I agree that Ches is not in the same league as the other 3. However, he has dominated everything since the fall.
Given these facts, I'm tempted to go with De Grassi, since (out of the 4), he's the one that has the greatest chance to win the WC this year.

Don't think so as she has trouble breaking 11 for 100m. Plenty of junior high runners run faster than her... She would need to improve by more than 1.1 seconds to be considered. Not in the cards for her...
Demi Payne. Five times broke the CR in the pole vault. Usatf indoor champ. NCAA outdoor champ. Top 5 world mark.

You think she needs to run a 9.8 100m to have a shot?

Somewhere around there. De Grassi is running sub 9.80
Agreed on Demi Payne. No. 6 world indoors, No. 5 outdoors and she's been training thru all her meets except for NC's last week.
Agreed on Omar McLeod of Arkansas on the men's side.
Demi Payne seems like a good choice, considering she and Sandi Morris of Arkansas have been setting the collegiate record multiple times in competition.
Sleeper pick: Colleen Quigley for her winning personality
Superwomen will win I mean Jenna Prandini 2nd in the 200 first in the 100 and 2nd in the LJ most likely would have won the LJ if she took her 4th and 5th jumps at NCAA's. She scored 26 of Oregon 59 team points Has any women or man for that matter scored that many points ever at NCAA's???????????

WC Gold for Barber
WC Bronze for De Grassi
WC Bronze for Bromell (not mentioned above)
WC non qualifier for LJ final for Dendy
Unfortunately, De Grassi is not competing in the 200m, so we will never know (however Bolt will probably be the class of the field in the 200m)
...so Barber with the Gold, seems that he was the best choice for Athlete of the year.
Canadian Barber it is...
