Some fantasy league fans want to have it all figured out before the race starts. Of course everyone wants a London 800 race but that's what made that one so special, the fact that it rarely happens. The point of racing for a title is that that's all that really .matters to those that are on the track. When Rono won the Seoul 1500 over some of the best ever, great for him and too bad for everyone else but great for him being in the right place at the right time. I didn't think Kemboi was going to get through but the leader let him pass on the inside in the homestretch with a magnificent gear change that no others could match. So yeah, the best guy won the title running off of any pace or tactic. Who complained when American Pharoah didn't even approach Secretariat's record last week? Nobody cares, especially those betting on the winner. Everybody ran fast to get to the final. It's their choice and not yours as to how the race will play out. If you love rabbitted races better than head to head competition for titles and team points you aren't a true fan.
