Thank you for the feeback.I'm back focusing on shoes after unwinding from NCAAs. We're going to post the shoe site on the homepage as a splash page to get even more feedback and hopefully more reviews too. Comments & responses below.
Thanks for the feedback.
As for the poster above, I'd suggest using less filters. Perhaps we can have it tell you if there are no matches to use less filters. Even if you just put in your height, weight and foot type and marathon I thik that would be helpful to see what shoes people are running in. At the very least if you are choosing between 2 shoes you can then filter on types of reviewers or see what type of runners certain people were.
Right now the system is not predictive. We just show you reviews from people like you. So no one else with those characteristics filled out reviews.
We should have verbage explaining #1 shoe isn't necessarily the best shoe for you. We do say "Find a shoe" so I can see how you'd think the first shoe was the best. It is the most popular for people like you not necessarily the best. Hopefully people can see #3 that has a higher rating may be best, then click on and read a few detailed reviews and find something for them.
We should definitely remove shoes at some point.
As for the Zoom 5 showing up on the Zoom 6 I think it is helpful to have for people thinking of switching from the 5 to the 6. So it does make sense to have information on whether people preferred the 6 to the 5 on the 6 page.
What do you mean scan a brand? I'd like to have a way where you can see all the adidas shoes.
We have a temporary way you can do this now. If you go to find a shoe you can select by brand or you can just type "adidas" in the search box and see all the adidas shoes. or type "kayano" and see all the kayanos. Then you can see how the ratings for these shoes change for pronators, etc.
As for the categories right now I think if is under 10 ounces it is lightweight. Under 8 ounces as racing shoe.
We only have data on weight/height etc on about half the shoes. We tried to go with the most reviewed shows.
