There's a real difference between a tactical race and a race where no one in the field even puts in a good faith effort. 3:54 is so slow to the point where it can no longer be considered a championship race when we're talking about Division I. All of the runners should have just been told to get off the track. It's embarrassing to our sport.
If everyone decided to racewalk the 1500 and run a 100 meter dash at the end, is that still tactical? Stupid comment.
